Drag Queens are old news and kind of passé.

Their entire appeal was being sort of anti- and underground and edgy. Their humor was so effective because they were looking from the outside in. Making them as mainstream as they are now has sort of voided all that energy and edge and now they’re so boring and predictable and blah.

This is perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a fantastic and unexpected surprise!! There are so many different drag queens and there will always be queens who are more "underground", but at the same time I am loving the mainstream appeal some of the girls are having at the moment and it's completely deserved. Look at both Gigi and Symone; they look fantastic and give more energy and appeal than most current models.

Yeah. I feel the excitement, because this is better than nothing, but at the same time the whole thing feels out of touch. Mainstream drag sometimes is great, e.g. Violet Chachki, but except her the rest have a really poor taste level for high fashion, for the mainstream they are okay. It works because Moschino is camp, but if it goes outside of that - I'm gonna barf. RuPaul's Drag Race is already extremely tired and I stopped watching altogether - so adjusted, manufactured, and predictable. Aquaria – case in point, was great on the show, and after it became so passé and commerce, like another gay Insta-thot with those sl*tty g-strings and sometimes showing off the face beat. Nothing left of the artistry.
Drag Queens are the new rebel teens, 00s R'n'B singers, or second-grade debutantes. The commerce system will chew and spit them out. There is no new Leigh Bowery or Divine here.

Im sure Meisel didn't shoot this, are we sure this is the main line campaign?
Sill props to Gigi and Symone, yes gawd, mawma hunty b*tch slay work yas.

I agree, generally speaking, but this is just a strong image and the two queens actually look beautiful and modelesque, so I think it really works, especially for a brand like Moschino.

In the words of Laganja: “Yess gawwddd!”

Normalize having drag queens fronting more campaigns and covers as they give more personality and charm than most working models.

Guys, when I saw the thumbnail I thought Gigi was Meghan Douglas for a second and I thought 'yay, go Meghan'.

This is okay. They are delivering personality and attitude and they wear the clothes well, like others have said. The photography is quite basic though. I'd be surprised if Meisel shot this.

Come on, House of Avalon!! The girls are serving you such fantasy and attitude that it's a shame this was shot in studio. Imagine Symone and Gigi playing Alexis and Dominique in that Dynasty inspired campaign a couple seasons ago! A dream. I love this, I'm definitely excited for more and I would personally love to see some of the famously fashionable drag queens get more work in fashion. They obviously know how to pose, they are stunning and they can sell you the fantasy! What's not to like?

The skin looks like it was painted over with the paint can tool and it kills the appeal for me...

Like most TV series, it was never going to stay the same, and at this stage, it's getting churned out like a Simon Cowell scripted talent show.

I like anything with glamour - but there's nothing beating Dita at the end of the Moschino presentation for this collection. Look 41. The End.

I guess for a campy brand like Moschino having drag queens fronting the campaign is quite fitting. Wonder if it's by Meisel. After all, he did shoot some Drag Race alums before.

I wanted this campaign to be Vittoria Ceretti, Imaan Hammam, Liu Wen and Abby Champion but oh well I still like it. the first shot is incredible and will look great inside Vogue.

can’t wait to see more.

Why not? Meisel shot Violet Chachki for a Pat McGrath campaign. And yes, is the main one, it was included on the september issue of british Vogue.
