Moschino F/W 2021.22 : Gigi Goode & Symone by Marcus Mam

Why not? Meisel shot Violet Chachki for a Pat McGrath campaign. And yes, is the main one, it was included on the september issue of british Vogue.
Because it’s doesn’t look like a Meisel shoot. The lack of depth, the way the shadows hit the background. And the background looks like one used for a recent look book.

NO because it doesn't look like his style/lighting.
No need to educate me baby. Meisel shot Carmen Carrera for W way back in 2013.
Still without a doubt one of the most unforgettable editorials for any drag race queen being lensed by one of the best photographers! And not to mention the production, casting (Linda EVANGELISTA)!

Voilet Chachki could NEVER!

P.S. Carmen Carrera got not only 1, but 2 Steven Meisel Editorials!

Drag Queens are old news and kind of passé.

Their entire appeal was being sort of anti- and underground and edgy. Their humor was so effective because they were looking from the outside in. Making them as mainstream as they are now has sort of voided all that energy and edge and now they’re so boring and predictable and blah.

*In your opinion.

In the real world, drag queens are still on the fringe. Drag race may be a large franchise however they are still on the outside looking in.

I wouldn't compare the two. Carmen Carrera was photographed by Meisel as a beautiful trans woman. Violet Chachki gets photographed as a drag queen. Not the same.

Carmen Carrera was a contestant on Rupaul's Drag Race, I was only comparing her as a contender not based on her sexual identity, and who's to say she can't be both? I can hear Kylie Sonique Love, Stacey Layne Matthews, Jiggly Caliente, Monica Beverly Hillz, Laganja Estranja, Gia Gunn, Peppermint, and Gottmik shouting "F--- my drag, right?!"

Can’t help loving people that know what they are talking about, reminds me why I (sometimes) love this forum.

Meisel or not this campaign is awesome!!! We ask for glamour and voilà! These girls has more energy and fashion in their veins than the daughter of, the sister of, the son of, etc (but I still like Gigi, Bella and James Turlington, hahaha) . Like Nan Goldin said, I want drag queens on the cover of Vogue. If a guy like Harry Styles did it, why not they? Edward would be more open to do it.

This Kelly Mantle erasure... The only drag race girl to have done Vogue Italia by Meisel.

As per usual, Jeremy Scott knocking it out the park with yet another Moschino campaign. The images themselves aren't half as exhilarating as what I would've expected from Steven Meisel but there's fashion, glamour and the inclusion of Gigi Goode and Symone is pure genius.
