Moschino Resort 2026 & Menswear S/S 2026 Milan

It’s very Moschino and I think the lookbook portrays more the idea of Moschino than his runway shows.

However, after Jeremy Scott and given the responses, I wonder if Moschino’s fate isn’t to be the hyper funny/camp/Pop culture heavy house.

He is a curator and understand the house but it’s maybe « too much for the purists » at this point.

Maybe Moschino’s destiny is to be a circus.

A sugar-coated rerun of 1990s pop irreverence. The jokes sometimes drown the clothes. The "carefree" message is too choreographed to be convincing. Despite its attempts at playful nostalgia, the production feels forced.

This brand gonna file for bankrupcy in two years if they don't shake things up and get back to a Jeremy Scott's tongue in cheek interpretation of the house codes...
No one is buying this Loewe redux budget version of Franco Moschino's legacy. The brand is completely irrelevant as per now: no runway shows buzz, no campaigns, no viral moments, no accessories, no gimmick merchandise...what are they actually selling in the stores? Who knows...

i thought i was in the valentino thread and being in valentino feelsl ike im in moschino

You may be right about that and it would probably make people like The Blonds, Heatherette, Christian Covan obvious choices… the most realistic one being Vaquera.

Not that I’d enjoy any of these but I fear as well that, while this is a much better and more approachable RTW for the average person than Jeremy Scott’s Moschino, they managed to sell a ton of entry priced merch from the halo effect of his shows.

I think in terms of creative, they should get either ADR or Carlyne on board to help with the styling to convey the idea of « fun » generally around the brand.
But besides that, what you are saying about the halo effect is not wrong.
Aeffe was first and foremost a manufacturer and distributor of clothing. That’s what probably inspired the change of creative direction.

Because the collections of Jeremy Scott were fantastic in terms of PR, had a great visual impact and in terms of creative direction, it was perfect. It did great things for the beauty license for example, had a more general halo effect on the secondary lines like Love Moschino or Moschino Jeans but I’m not sure they did perform that well in a long run in stores.

For me there’s a real problem overall for Italian fashion as most of their little brands depends still on department stores and wholesale and as there’s a real tension today in the industry, it’s becoming more and more hard to exist globally next to big brands.

Moschino is the biggest brand of AEFFE, the majority of it revenues comes from RTW, it first market is Italy and it primarily source of distribution is wholesale. It’s kind of insane when we consider the brand awareness of Moschino.

was jeremy scott becoming too expensive from them? he shaped much of how everyone see moschino today. Whoever they got after would have had problems i guess.

This guy is trying to be both humorous and intellectual, its so cringe. Theres absolutely nothing to draw from this for their other lines

He's trying to be "witty" with "subtle humor" instead of straight up camp. But because of Jeremy, most people has associated Moschino with Camp. I like some of the pieces here, it's wearable.

The backwards jeans could have been fun for at least 15 seconds if they were properly constructed to fit well this way, but they look as lumpy and unflattering as ordinary bottoms worn back-to-front (but the visible side-zip reveals this is not just a styling trick being used to make a run-of-the-mill pair of jeans more interesting).

Photo #2 is one of the most comically ridiculous and ugly ensembles I've ever seen. A blazer paired with a matching whatever-you-call-that belted pinstripe zip-fly high-rise speedo-brief?? Why not throw in a navel-baring hoodie, some abominable shoes that look like the product of non-consensual sex between Puma low-top sneakers and leather-sole dress shoes (I just can't tell which was the aggressor), freaky plastic nails (those definitely always go well with volleyball!!!), some kind of bonnet and a phoned-in PVC-panelled handbag??

The chain on the bag in #3 came straight from a discount-store dog leash.

Consumer, the joke is on you.
