Moschino S/S 2015 Milan

IMHO they got rid of all that's good about Moschino with Jeremy...kitch, cute, pop and fun. Great! But it's GOT to be elegant and mature or the whole balance that made Moschino what it is, is lost...

It's funny but it's not my taste at all, because there are many types of funny, this one is a bit dumb and brainless! Fun for me is Lanvin, Alber presents elegant and magical fun shows always high spirited!

But....... If you dissect this collection you can find great pieces of clothing!

The p*ssy bow blouse on Nadja, the glitter pants as well, separate and with a more sober styling they can look good, the crop top and shorts with a great print wore by a black model that I can't identify (Look #13), the polka dot t-shirt is really cool (I think I will buy it, God I love that t-shirt ), the turquoise suit with the yellow bikini on top is a really cool idea for eds, the final dress on Cindy is good (don't judge), some pink looks plus jackets are acceptable.

In general there are way more cool pieces to buy than last season branded red and yellow mess.

The prom dresses, oversized, plastic, shiny, or puffy clothes.... now that's a NO! :ninja:

I get that collections like these are fun and will get the brand a lot of attention, but is this really what Moschino is about? Where is the sophistication, the tweed jackets we're used to?

We don't need another Jeremy Scott/The Blondes/Juicy Couture kinda brand. It's high fashion after all.

LOVIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved it. Fun concept, clever, kitschy, and I honestly love a bit of unwearability in the end ;)
However, I do miss the sophisticated and luxurious image that Moschino had. The old Moschino plus Rosella Jardini's Moschino were both humorous yet very sophisticated... I wish Jeremy Scott would go that route instead of making it another street wear brand

It breaks my heart that a pathetic, non-talent like this guy manages to achieve success and attention when many incredible designers struggle to keep their business running. He represents everything I despise in this industry.

I actually find this very fun and adorable. Some pieces at the end are very project runway-ish but this is great.

OMG this is so trashy, however, I find several good pieces in this collection.

I wander what Jeremy Scott is going to bring next season. Maybe a little hommage to Taco Bell and Pokemon? I am just guessing. This collection is too chemically sweet for me, if that makes any sense at all. I do have to give credits to him, for breaking the serious and heavy aura that big name brands carry most of the times in shows.

Tbh I think we all expected it to be like this. It's supposed to be fun and over the top. Well that's the impression that I get anyway

This made me giggle in a good way. I've been so critical of Jeremy Scott, but this is so tacky it works.LOL

Bring on the POKEMON!!

Well it is a fun collection to watch and sure tons of fashionistas will jump into stores to get their piece of Barbie but where is Moschino's essence ? Fair enough, part of the brand's aesthetic lie upon fun and it would be dull to deny Mr Scott's ability to do so but my problem is there is no distinction between his house and Moschino. McDonald's and Sponger Bob last season, today Barbie, what's next ? M&M's ?

Moschino need to be more balanced and less superficial in my opinion.

^ YES. He could've made a point of critiquing a satirizing the industry (since his humor is so sharp :eyeroll:), yet he's playing it completely straight. It's completely shallow and vapid.

I love it! it's not fashion per se, but it's super fun and entertaining and it's very wolcome. It falls perfectly with the heritage of Moschino which is Ironic, Literal and self deprecating.

Jeremy Scott designs for the Instagram generation. He puts me in mind of the kind of criticisms leveled at Banksy - cheap gags, skin-deep, short attention span. Whilst many labels (The Row is a good example) are designing for a more mature and financially solvent generation, Scott seems to design for a small audience of wealthy people in their late teens/early twenties who can entertain the idea of dropping top dollar on stuff that's going to age really badly. You just know he's making bank on the accessories though - so many people I know had that McDonald's fries inspired iPhone case. I'm amazed that the fashion press seem to lap this up.
