Moschino S/S 2026 Milan

I love his clothes. It’s probably my favorite collection of the season so far…
I don’t know if I love it for Moschino though.

He seems like a fun guy and looking at the clothes, he probably had a lot of fun in the studio so the disconnect between that and the presentation (as pointed before) is really sad.

Moschino is the perfect representation of « great clothes and accessories are not enough ».
And as I have said before: He needs Carlyne in his life!

Not so bad and not very Moschino.. I got <Sportmax with an edge> and several art project moments. Some of it (the last 3 dresses particularly) reminded me of Proenza Schouler looking over Pieter Mulier's shoulder during the past few years.

this guy insufferable, the constant use of smiley face to make it look like he is witty...

They went from a believably fashion forward and witty counterpart to chanel. To niente... absolute niente.

The smiley is like the peace sign, a very Franco Moschino reference.
Contrary to what @FashioNarrating said, the clothes are very Moschino, Franco Moschino. Even if the spirit and the Art Direction doesn’t suggest it.

Ironically, Jeremy Scott was the contrary. His work has little to do with Moschino but he captured a feeling of fun from his shows.

it will be a hardsell for these clothes knowing what is out there these days.

Atleast jeremy's moschino, although not as true to the original had its own life. Was quickly recognizable as moschino and they gave some narrative to the perfumes they are selling.

If they want to push rtw, they need someone a bit more authetic. I feel he is a fashion nerd and trying to piece together his favorite fashion things adding some moschino witt and not really resulting into something cohesive.

Well, in this comparatively brief show there was literally anything from a newspaper-printed shirt, odd Rabannesque elements and the ubiquitous logo belt to long transparent skirts with flamenco flounces, so obviously something is going to read as true to the brand, but on the whole - which is what I spoke about, not just the clothes - I'm still struggling to find it very Moschino, Franco or elsewise. :grinningwsweat:
I get what you mean though - I thought Pilati made much better clothes than Vaccarello at YSL, but the latter obviously captured the essence of the brand more effectively.

^ For me, Pilati belongs to the same category with Phoebe Philo – like an older and patriarchal brother of her, the different is that he has that male gaze (lol feel so dumb for using this term). I adore his for YSL, people usually say his later works for the house were cold and too serious and intellectual but I think it’s great and refreshing in that time.

Look 44..I saw people on twitter weirded out by how the child's face, the 'HELP' and the brick bag were styled together. When i first saw it i thought it was a political message but looking at it again, it just feels really off. Did no one realize beforehand how badly executed this could be? Seriously, nobody?

He knows how to cut because the fit and proportions, even on the more challenging pieces, is great. I love the transparent, flounce-y floor length skirt that came in both bronze and black, and could see a CdG kind of woman wearing the strapless dress that looks like a pile of clothes laid out at random - In a casual manner, even.

I wonder, though - Does this direction work for Moschino, the way their business has been diversified under Jeremy Scott?
