MOTIVATION for drinking water!!!

I found this whole thread to be a great read. I hardly drink water and I get bladder infections all the time, because of it. But this just got me pumped to go grab a nice cold glass of water.
 
I read somewhere in tfp that drinking green/white tea is good for your skin, since then i've been drinking 4 - 5 cups of tea everyday, i tend to reuse my tea bag over and over again as a way to trick my mind to drink water ( the tea bag get so used there's just no more tea taste to it :P) I prefer drinking hot water rather than cold as well, just the idea of of sipping water kind makes me want to drink more :P
 
drinking cold water first in the morning when you wake up jump starts your metabolism :]
 
i didnt like water at all - so i started to buy very expensive mineral waters, like Fiji, Evian, Watermiller or something. i spend a lot on this glass bottles but its worth it. i like to drink "exclusive" water and it makes me feel good during the day. i dont miss ice tea or diet coke.
 
I've drank water since I was little. I used to hate fizzy, my parents never got me into it & I hated the bubbles so all I used to drink was water well I still do. Everyone used to offer me coke when I was little & was shocked when I only wanted water lol.
 
I prefer drinking hot water with lemon if I'm just bumming around the house. Obviously cold water is more convenient so I typically drink that.
 
Is it the same to drink 8 cups of green tea and yasmine or rooibus tea as drinking 8 glasses of water? can you get your 2 litre water a day by drinking caffeine free tea? :huh:

..actually its two glasses of warm water. I have been doing this for years now. :flower:

Other than that, I keep two bottles of water if am in my room and keep sipping. There's no two ways about it .. it has so many benefits.

Clearer skin, less chance of infection, flushes out toxins.

my usual problem is that i pour the water with intentions of sipping throughout the day, but i will forget about it and it will still be sitting there - full - at the end of the day.. :rolleyes:

but i'm trying to be better! because i want to reap the benefits!

as far as i know (and i'm no doctor of ANYTHING, mind you :lol:), it is NOT the same (i'm not 100% sure why). but caffeine free tea (decaf is important) is still a good way of getting your water + antioxidants.
 
I can swear that you can train your body to drink the 8-10 glasses. I now do that everyday and my skin has been looking soooo good
 
I'm working on the water thing as well, I had to go buy a large jug from Target and literally promise myself by the time I leave the office it has to be gone... so I usually try to chug half by lunch and 1/2 after. However, when I forget to bring it....I will drink one small cup all day.. The jug helps me keep things in perspective and make somewhat of a goal...
 
I'm sick right now and have been drinking about 3 or 4 liters of water a day (I know it sounds like a lot compared to the recommended consumption, but I usually drink about 2 liters) and I've noticed my skin is a lot smoother and less shiny. My pores have closed up quite a lot too. I think I just may stick to drinking this much...
 
I am sick right now too and I HATE drinking water, but I force myself to do so in order to flush the bug out. I eat a ton of Salt/Vinegar chips though, which really helps me to drink a good amount of water...and I do find that my skin is way better when I am sick, because I am drinking water.
 
I love and need this thread. Water motivation, I'm seriously lacking in it.
