exactly, Lady Muck! That's what drew me to Mulberry rather than some of the more popluar brands. I can see me owning this bag forever... or at least until I buy my Bottega Veneta in a few years.

I sent my water stained apple Mulberry to be fixed. Actually I sent it in to ask for a refund since I am unhappy with the staining. They said they shipped it off to be repaired. I really don't want it back and would prefer a refund. Do you think I should go ahead and order a different color or wait to see how its fixed? I don't to have two but the color I want may not be available later.

I read somewhere Mulberry has a one year warrenty and if unsatisfied you can get a refund? Is that true?

^ I know I got a bag refunded by Mulberry years ago after I'd carried for more than a year, but that was because it rubbed off colour; basically a manufacturing defect. Leather can be susceptible to stains by water, fats and so on but that's natural... Unless the leather is expressly supposed to be resistant.

Thanks for posting the new pics. I can't wait for the F/W. I really like the first and second bag. I wonder how big the second one is.

thanks for the pics gg! i'm strangely drawn to the tulip pattern but i'm not crazy about the shape or the luggage tag.. the hidden duck is adorable!!!!

How should I wear my Rockley for work?

Hi, I'm trying to decide the best way to wear my new Mulberry Rockley bag when I go to work. I wear a suit and my girlfriend tells me that the best look for a guy is to wear it over the body so strap going accross the body with the bag at the side or back. I'm finding this way a little awkward when wearing a suit as the suit jacket gets either creased or out of shape etc. The other way I have been wearing it is just over the shoulder hanging downwards, this is easier to wear and doesnt crease etc, but the g/f tells me I look like a girl when I wear it this way

How do other people, especially guys wearing suits hang theres:blush:

cheers

Love the top 2 bags - some of the new ones are for sale on the mulberry website now. I saw a bigger version of the second bag in the mulberry store on Bond St in London, the small is called 'Alana', the bigger is called 'Emmy' - the bigger is amazing, really cool and very mulberry looking, it was in a two tone of dark brown and tan - I have to have!!!

Mulberry Araline Leather Quality

Hi All,

Its my first post on FashonSpot and I wish it was on a happier note. Today I received an aubergine Mulberry Araline that I won on ebay. I was overjoyed I had wanted the bag for many months, but couldn't track one down.

When I got the bag today my heart sank. Everything looked right but the bag had no leather aroma. Infact it had that nondescript smell which I associate with a better quality pleather.

Araline owners please help me. Do the authentic aralines have a distinctive leather aroma? I was looking at angelicas at a boutique yesterday and they definitely had the subtle smell which confirmed that they were leather goods.
I'm confused right now, I don't want to point the finger at the seller (who is Uk based and sent the item along with a selfridges tag and receipt).

All advice is appreciated.
Thanks
M

I like the first one a lot! Its going to take WEEKS before I find out if they are able to fix my apple green Roxanne.

Just bought another Mulberry (cant stop, purchased three in the last 3 months  ) the most recent is the Ethan in chocolate to give me a better option for the office.
I'm hoping that I wont have to buy another bag for a long time and my Mulberry's will last until I'm old and grey and I can look back at the time I spent all my money on bags instead of going on holiday  :D
still lifes too short huh

I wear my bags messenger style, strap across the chest. I don't have your problems when I'm wearing blazers...

Well, in my opinion, when you are wearing a suit - a handheld bag is best. You may want another style for when you are more dressed up.

Just what I was thinking so I went out and bought the Ethan model today in choc. it has both handle and leather strap, and looks more business style, I should not have the best of both worlds, but will probably just alternate between my Rockley and Ethan on a daily basis and practice wearing the Rockley with a suit.

It would be more helpful if you post the auction number for us to look at pics of the bag and review the seller.

Oh I finally understand about the water stains! I have been carrying my chocolate Bayswater these past few days, and yes, got caught in the rain.

I can definitely see my leather turning darker where the water spots were. Luckily, mine's a really dark colour so I'm going to just let it pass. I'm going to tell myself it adds character to the bag :p

Hi
Here's the auction number. Let me just say that the Araline looks authentic, the colour seems right but it smells like a Topshop bag. I worry because I know there are some pretty convincing replicas out there - check this one from Bitaboutique

http://bitaboutique.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/mulberry-araline-55018-dark-blue

Although the lining is the wrong colour right? The lining on mine is brown. I wonder, can neglect make leather items loose their scent?

Regarding the water stains, is everyone spraying there bags with the recommended Collonil Waterstop Spray. When I purchased my bags the assistant told me that it was the only spray mulberry recommended? I havent been caught in the rain yet, but wondered if it will still stain if sprayed first?
I also agree about the character, I think they look better the older and more worn they are.
