manal,
first, the pics aren't very good.
second, the proportion seems wrong.
third, the seller has sold other bags (a mulberry and a burberry) that look fake to me and were too cheap.

So my overall impression is that you've bought a fake.

Hey thanks for the response. I've received the bag and am satisfied that the colour and proportions are true to the real thing, the ebay pictures were not of very good quality. My question is specifically about the leather scent and the fact that the bag that I've received has no scent in particilar, am I being a bit presumptous in that I expect the bag to reek of quality, not just look good. Any thoughts? Another thing is that the bag carries no serial numbers internally. Luckily there is a Mulberry dealership close to me so I can hopefully get them to verify one way or another, but in the meantime any advice is welcome.

Hello from a new member :)

Hi everyone!
I'm new to the forum, but seems like a lovely place full of shopaholics like myself :D
I just bought myself a Mulberry Ayler bag from NetaPorter and am feeling a bit guilty over spending the money, but I love the bag so much and I can't wait to get it
Sounds like everyone here loves their Mulberry bags!

mulberry lovers, for a roxanne, would you get an oak or an antique glace black?

black would go with everything but i'm not really in love with the slightly shiny leather and the leather feels tougher than the oak. will the glace leather eventually soften (it looks very hard, almost plastic-ky now)? :flower:

i have both the darwin (chocolate) and black antique glace and i think the darwin leather is just amazing. although the black has also softened with use it is a bit tougher than the chocolate. i have to admit i have gotten more compliments on the black than almost any other bag i carry but there is something really special about the oak color (it's just too light for me as i have two little - and messy - kids). i guess i'm not much help, sorry, i think they're both beautiful and you can't go wrong!

Hi everyone. I haven't posted here in a while. I was wondering if any of you experts could tell me what you think of ebay #6876624744. It's an Oak Mulberry Rosemary. Do you think it's authentic? I think the price is way too low. TIA. :flower:

darwin leather

Hi guys,
Quick question for those of you who have bags in the Darwin leather- I've been noticing small (e.g., about the size of a pea but irregular in shape) spots around random spots in my bag. I don't know if this is just part of the "evolution" process of the leather, or if it's something I am doing! I don't like how it looks like little spotted stains...Anyone know anything about this, or how to get rid of them?

Thanks!

I'm not lucky enough to own a Mulberry yet. Although that may change as I am loving their new 'Emmy' bag. Yum yum. A/W's must have I think. Anyway I'm getting sidetracked, I have friends who have Mulberry 'Darwin' leather bags and like you say I think the spotting etc is part of the process of that leather, the leather is super, super natural so ages and spots over time and eventually it just looks so beautiful, a little shinier and darker, the spots all blend in. This leather is like a true, genuine leather, natural and rich, It just needs some time. Be patient Julie1140 it will be great in the end

Hi
Here's the auction number. Let me just say that the Araline looks authentic, the colour seems right but it smells like a Topshop bag. I worry because I know there are some pretty convincing replicas out there - check this one from Bitaboutique

http://bitaboutique.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/mulberry-araline-55018-dark-blue

Although the lining is the wrong colour right? The lining on mine is brown. I wonder, can neglect make leather items loose their scent?

I'm almost sure that isn't real. Sorry. The tassles are very different to the genuine 'Araline', which have a twisty, knot detail at the top of the tassle and the leather looks more grainy on the picture than the leather that 'Araline' comes in which I think is a nappa

I got my apple green Mulberry Roxanne back. The water spots are gone. It looks like they sprayed something on it to even out the color. Its a lot darker and patina. Looks more like the olive color now. When I called the store he said its suppose to look beat up and worn with age. I suppose I'll get use to it.

I thought that the Olive green is different from the apple color. I think it is true about the Darwin leather looking beat up. I have the Elgin bag and it is definitely worn looking. It is slouchier than it used to be. I prefer the worn or beat up look. Have you sprayed Colonil on the bag?

That mulberry logo doesn't look right. I'd never buy anything on line except from a place like NM or Browns. Too many fakes out there.

What I think is weird, and a sign it is FAKE is the serial-number under the mulberry tree plate.
I have two Mulberry bags, and none of them have serialnumbers there.
I bought my bags in the Mulberry store..

And for that prize? Its fake. I'm sorry, I hope you can return it

^ Mulberry bags all used to have serial numbers on the back of the Mulberry plate, just an fyi.

But that Araline looks really dodgy, I agree with everyone.

^ If they used to have serialnumber, they dont anymore. My Roxanne and my Bayswater Congo do not have the number.
And I bought them in the Mulberry store, so they are authentic B)

And as Araline is quite a new model, I guess they dont have serialnumbers either

^ Yes, I didn't mean to question you or your bags. Sorry if it sounded like it!

Here are some photos of my apple green that has been refurbished to even out the water stains. When I first saw it I was like "what did they do?!?". But now its grown on me. I guess I'm being a bit anal about it since it looks different. What do you think? Ruined or better?
Heres my bag and the other photos are of what it looked like new.
