Music that makes you cry

There's a german group called "Glashaus" who make GORGEOUSly sad songs. One which can always get me totally down is called "Wenn Das Liebe Ist" (If this is love) and another one is called "Bald (Und Wir Sind Frei)" (Soon (And we are free).

There's also "Colorblind" by Counting Crows, "Fall Again" by Glenn Lewis and some more i can't think of right now...

My number one song to cry to is: Rufus Wainwright - Hallelujah

Bob Dylan - Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands
Nico - Afraid
Elliott Smith - Twilight
Hole - Nothern Star
The Velvet Underground - I'll Be Your Mirror.....Nico sounds so sad when she sings it!

Everybody Hurts - REM
Hallelujah - Rufus Wainwright
Honey and the Moon - Joseph Arthur :heart: (beautiful song)
The Sacrament - HIM
Wish you were here - Pink Floyd
Don't Dream it's Over - Sixpence none the richer (I know, wtf!?)
Champagne Supernova - Oasis (in fact, tons of Oasis songs... I love that band to death):heart::heart::heart::heart:
Fix you - Coldplay
Hey Jane - Adam Cohen
I don't want to miss a thing - Aerosmith
Strange & Beautiful - Aqualung
Poussière d'Ange - Ariane Moffatt
Knocking on Heaven's Door - Avril Lavigne (yes, IKNOW! but I like it better when it's a woman singing it, for some reason)
Everytime - Britney Spears (yeah....)
Lua - Bright Eyes

Carla Bruni songs, they're beautiful :flower:

and the list goes on and on

oh and anything Ashlee Simpson... her lack of talent makes me CRY!!!! :ninja:

Haha, bear with me I love to cry when listening to songs... & some just bring back memories..

The Scientist - Coldplay
Why Don't We Try Again - Brian May
These Are The Days Of Our Lives - Queen
Mother Love - Queen
One - U2
Disarm - The Smashing Pumpkins
They Won't Go When I Go - George Michael

Snow Patrol - Run
Keane - We Might As Well Be Strangers
Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter

I don't think a song (or movie for that matter) has ever made me cry, but there are songs I find very depressing and bleak. I think the saddest songs aren't flat-out sob-fests but have twinges of hope/happiness that make the darker elements all the more disturbing...

Lost in The Supermarket -- The Clash (one of my favorite songs of all time)
Just Like Heaven -- The Cure
Lucky -- Radiohead (this is without a doubt their bleakest song, imo, even bleaker than Street Spirit)
How to Disappear Completely -- Radiohead
Is That All There Is? -- Peggy Lee (this may quite possibly be the most disturbing and depressing son of all time. ^_^)
Hey You -- Pink Floyd
Comfortably Numb -- Pink Floyd
Sunday Morning -- Velvet Underground
Disorder -- Joy Division

I just watched the last ep of Six Feet Under (yeh, we're a bit slow in the UK!) and the last bit where Clare was driving off....and that song by Sia was playing.....I completely broke down in tears!

I probably shouldn't admit this :ninja: , but movies make me cry quite easily. The worst was probably Cinema Paradiso...

But songs rarely do, unless they relate to something personal. (I think i responded to this thread earlier), but the first time i heard "Remember The Mountain Bed" by Wilco i cried because i thought it was so beautiful. And most of Want One by Rufus Wainwright has taken me to that point, though that's more personal than just affectation.

"Amsterdam" and "Fix You" by Coldplay, both tracks really touch me.
