What’s it like working in New York?
I love the city. It’s so big but you still feel as though you’re the first to experience things there.
What’s life as a model in New York like compared to Australia?
There are lots of go-sees and it’s a lot more intense. Everything from the teams of photographers that you work with the designers is bigger.
Where’s home?
I was born in Cairns but my family moved to Brisbane. Now I’m just working.
How did you get into modelling?
Well I tried out for Australia’s Next Top Model but I was rejected. I was shopping in Brisbane when I was spotted by an agency and then it all started. It’s hard work but it’s also exciting.
How do you stay model trim?
I don’t go to the gym and I prefer not to diet. I’m a vegan and I don’t eat junk food.
How are you going with your school studies?
I’m doing them by correspondence now. I just hated my regular school because the girls there didn’t accept me.
What designers do you like?
Ann Demeulemeester and Alexander Wang.
What’s next?
Paris. I’m so excited. I just hope I don’t screw up.
