MYLA's are surely the cleverest knickers around. Its two founders, Charlotte Semler and Nina Hampson, have just been voted two of the 35-and-under most influential and successful female entrepreneurs by Management Today. The sexy success story that is Myla began with a website and catalogue launched by advertising director Semler and retail consultant Hampson in September 2001. By August last year it meant standalone stores in Notting Hill, Walton Street, Duke of York Square and Burlington Gardens as well as concessions in Selfridges London & Manchester, Liberty, House of Fraser in the City and Galaries Lafayette in Paris. The first US boutique opened at East 69th and Madison Avenue in October last year and the American market already accounts for 30 per cent of the company's total revenue, with an expected total of $1.5 million in its first year.
