Wow that editorial looks bad. I thought she had the most potential throughout the show to be a real model. But she just doesn't come across well in really commercial shots which is probably all she'll ever be able to do now
Also here's her picture from the Peta 2 website http://www.peta2.com/outthere/o-splitContest.asp in which she is also the model for Split Colthing. This clothing line is getting quite popular and it's all over Cosmo Girl, Elle Girl, Teen Vogue, Jane, Seventeen and etc...
That black and white picture of Naima was taken by the photographer Justin Ouellette in which he said:
He took that in washington square park on may 28th. He was walking through and she just happened to be there doing a shoot. Justin strolled up and snaked the shot while Naima was waiting between poses (believe it or not, he said "she's not posing in my shot, she was just doing some kind of back stretch and smiling because someone was talking to her off camera" ). He took another frame, which you can see here if you're interested:
( She was waiting for something and swinging her arms back and forth).
Oh god. She is just not a good model. Very cute girl, but hey, she does not photograph well. Not one shot in ANTM is anything to talk about. This show is just a popularity contest these days, geez.
she has a really cool ethnic look but it still never shines thru in photos. shE always ends up lookin too teen cosmo kind of model. Maybe she'd do the more abstract kind of work better
Naima is clearly not for runway. She is out of shape around her stomach area and she isn't tall. Her face is cute but that could only last for a little while. If she wants to photograph, she should focus more on her face, not body pictures. Maybe she could do some catalog work for stores like JC penny and Sears. That's about all that i see. Just being completely honest.
