Natalia "Naty" Chabanenko

A lot of the top girls aren't 'runway material'. I resent that term because it means one thing - stick thin giant. This doesn't apply to most of the most popular girls out there (it actually most applies to the 'no names', or Vlada and Olga ). You cannot deny that she (along with the other 'non-cookie cutter' models) makes clothes look amazing, she has good proportions, and a fantastic presence & look - these are the qualities that are most important when the model meets the minimum height/size requirements (and lets face it, if runway was only for a certain type of girl, Kate Moss, Lara, Cato, Eniko, Sasha etc would never have booked any shows).

Some backstage shots that you may not have seen from this season, and the last:

Come on editorial work and ads can bring her much more money than runways and money is initially the goal of any job.

I'm not disputing that, and i hope that she gets some good campaign work soon (i cant think of any other reason for her to skip London f/w). The point i have is that you say she doesn't belong there because she doesn't have a certain 'look', when many that don't have a 'runway look' have done very well (you don't need visible rib bones to walk ;)).

Well that is my own opinion about her. She should do Gareth Pugh campaign lol they are perfect for each other...:innocent: i dont think he does campaigns though. It would be a great beginning:lol:

I dont think Model Whisperers understands what "Runway Material" is and how its completely based on a persons opinion. There is no 100% definition of what makes a model "Runway Material" or like stiffkitten said, a lot of models would not be getting work right now. Even newer models who are coming out this season are short (like 5'7").. so no.

And of course her getting Ad Campaigns will net her more money (Editorials.. not so much). I have no clue why you are mentioning this randomly. Her height isnt an issue at all, Cato is shorter than her (She is rumored to be really around 5'6" - 5'7"). If Naty's height was that big of a deal I doubt she would of opened for Prada FW 08/09..

Anyway...

Here is the rest of the editorial (im gonna paste it here so we have it here..)

^ Im sure im gonna be the only one but I like that look on her. :brows:

To me, Naty is perfect for printwork (just look at that face!) but also amazing on the runway! That height-weight thing may not give her the very best chances to book all the top shows... but still: I think she's not doing that bad, and well, there will always be those that are more suitable for print and others who are the right girls for runway. So I really don't mind if she's not doing that much shows but then gets the nice campaigns & eds (what I am really hoping for in this season!)
And as we're speaking about print-work: I totaly adore her ed in Vogue Russia  Wow!
