She's done catalogue work though (2 that we know of - assuming that Barney's is more than a cover), and also a few look books which pay quite well. She also has the CK Jeans ad - though we don't know if she got much from that.
Models - unless they have normal job(s) on the side/are 'big names' - almost always do catalogue/ad/look book work that people in their threads may never see, just to fund their modelling career (usually in Asia). She said herself she moved to Italy for a couple of months, so she probably got some local work there.
Unless they are 'top tier' or big named models, they all probably work a lot more than we realise - we just don't come across it (and their agencies don't tend to use catalogue/look book work etc in their portfolios).
I don't think we should worry about her getting into debt with her agency or anything - she seems to be getting better/more frequent jobs (and we have yet to see what work comes from her 2 skipped fashion weeks).
