Natalia Semanova came into this world in Moscow, october the 1st 1980 [I still think it's '79, but nevermind]. She landed on catwalks just by chance, when at 13 she went along with a friend to a fashion casting and the designer Slava Zaitsev spotted her. Only one year later, she was the first russian to win the Elite Model Look contest, one of the most prestigious ever, which made her an object of desire for all the best designers.

Although she's been one of the best models of the world, her biography is quite anonymous, and this probably didn't help her becoming more famous. She consacrated herself body and soul to her profession, without any scandal, any famous date, simply catwalking for the best brands, among the rest for the haute couture kings, like Yves Saint-Laurent, Dior, Chanel and many more.

She's a quiet woman, one who doesn't like parties and nightlife. Two years ago she married her booker and realized her old dream of going to live in Paris, her favourite town, where she also spent most of her career, with that enormous professionality that clearly appears whenever she poses or walks. Among her many accomplishments, she's been for many years the face of Mango collections, an honour that no other model had.

So, why HER? Why not another one? Couldn't say.
She converted me into a Fashion-TV addict, when I saw her there. Her mouth, her sweet face, her classy catwalk. A true model from head to toe, always able to be the best of the lot, always blessing the cameras with her smile, without stress, without haste. Cameras love her, designers love her, and she's got a bunch of loyal fans all over the world, who admire her quietly, modestly. Quiet and modest as she is.

btw I found out them she wasn't at shows in Paris during ss2001 season as France didn't want to give her visa

I though she had lived in Paris for many years by the time... She's spent most of her career as a model living in Paris... I'm sure.

Yeah... And that was when her long-term boyfriend by that time proposed to her. She married him and no longer had any problems with visas and stuff.

When you look at these pictures you realize what designers love her so much for... She's a true lady... That's not common for models nowadays... Due to that, she has a good chance for staying in the industry for very long, if she wants to... The lady thing will only grow and grow as she becomes older, I think...
