We know she went to the castings because, back in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2010, some people that were able to see some casting footage saw her name in the section of call-backs.

however, how many people remember Natasha's presence at the vsfs?? probably 80% of her fans have discovered/noticed her there!
Anyone remember that? Of course. It was for the April 2010 issue, shot by Inez and Vinoodh.. shot in Morocco. Vogue Paris is much more prestigious than Victoria Secret.
It's much more career rewarding, personally speaking. As much as I adore Natasha, I doubt I could list her presences at Victoria Secret. Editorials, covers, runway shows.. yes.
It does all boil down to personal preference. Fair enough if Natasha does walk Victoria Secret, I'll be rooting for her.
That doesn't really count as 7 different appearances, does it ? regardless, she's only walked 2 shows, regardless of how many outfits she had.
I Think her career is doing just fine without a brand like VS in her life, and as someone pointed out, supposedly, she was meant to appear in the show last year but instead canceled and shot for Vogue Paris instead, that, right there is proof of the importance VS is in her career.
Vogue Paris is Vogue Paris! I think it would have been silly of Natasha's agency to trade it for a Victoria's Secret show, since VP has supported her career for a long time. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean the VS show was unimportant, since she WAS going in the first place!
And for the record those 2 shows she did for VS were the reason why I got to know Natasha Poly (I was young at the time and didn't knew much about fashion) and started to love her! She was simply UNFORGETTABLE at them!!!
I will always have her walk in the 2005 russian segment with that GORGEOUS emerald corset and AMAZING wings (and with only one shoe) craved in my mind! It was 
. Therefore, I WANT her there! And if she and her agency want it to, I think we fans should really stop complaining and accept... What we say repeatedly is not really going to change a thing, right?
#1312 when I said "forgettable", I meant that VP is only remembered by her fans (of course Vogue is prestigious in the Hf world), but the whole world know who is natasha thanks to "victoria's secret" (like katnani said) and imo, that makes vsfs attractive and important for a model ....i think we forget that the VS and HF are two different things....

does VS then good for her, if not then it's not really that much of a big loss isn't it? it

^Exactly, as i've said before, we'll all have to agree to disagree, just some members bring the same topics up over and over again.....
I just think that all the winning we're "hearing" from some members (and no, I'm not talking about you Chanelcouture09) should be highly discouraged, since it's getting pretty annoying, not only in Natasha's thread but also in VSFS one!

I am not saying that the matter has to be discussed, but discussing Natasha at VSFS is no different than discussing Natasha at NYFW (or London, Milan or Paris Fashion Weeks), with all the will she, won't she, I thought I saw, I betcha it's gonna be like, WTF, I am so happy that, etc. It is a modeling job that she has done before, it made an impression on quite a few people and she may do it again. So if she was spotted at a Chanel casting last month, would that be something not to be discussed?
I can understand if it was July and it was a random discussion, which even then you just gotta roll with it, but the event is actually approaching and she was sighted at the casting.

^The Discussion of Chanel was a huge thing, for obvious reasons, especially that she opened the couture and resort shows, it's Lagerfeld at the end of the day, someone who can really change a models career, it's only like a girl like Arizona opening Prada, but that conversation has been and gone and the discussion of VS has happened several times this year already, when the show was nowhere near and still now its still a month away.

I used Chanel randomly, so you can swap out Chanel for Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Pucci, Versace, Balmain, Isabel Marant, etc. My point is that a major event is coming up, and the precedent is for major events to be discussed even when there isn't any news, so why should this be any different? Everything is repetitive, if this were fashion week, every runway shot will have, "her walk is amazing," every beauty shot will have "her cheekbones are amazing," and the candids will have "her street style is amazing," and this can be repeated 40+ times across three cities. I love me some Maryna and when a picture of her gets posted showing two inches of skin, you're gonna get a bunch of "what a bombshell" comments, that's the way it goes. I am not crazy about the repetition and for some threads, I let a few posts accumulate before I open the thread because, and no disrespect to anyone, I know that the comments are likely to be repetitive and not have a lot of substance. Don't most of us do that?
This may be different because people feel more comfortable expressing negative feelings about this particular job, and while I am not saying that people should not say negative things, they don't have to. I thought Natasha looked hideous at Givenchy, not because of her but because of the styling, but I did not comment on it, and it's not like I am shy about expressing my opinion even if it is not the majority one. So again I don't see how this is different than any other milestone that we go through each year.

Honestly, I'd rather walk into a Victoria's Secret to see Natasha's face rather than Karolina's or Alessandra's, wouldn't you? I like the VS models but I definitely would think Natasha can sell it to me better than the other girls can. That's what a model's job is and all the more power to Natasha if she can do this better than the other VS angels can.

Commercial is where the money is! And for me, being a supermodel, she must be very flexible and should nail every angle, whatever you call it, of the fashion world. Nat's been concentrating on the HF scene for a very long period of time. I think it's time for her to do something more commercial.
They aren't impressed by much anyways.
And ugh I don't like VS but if Natasha does it I will support her and watch it only for her etc. So much drama in this thread I wish errybody could keep in mind that Natasha werks it out no matter what hair colour she has, runway she stomps, or magazine she graces~
