Czar Peter I The Great (1672-1725). He leaded Russia against Sweden and besides that, he was responsable of a wave of cultural and technical modernization at that time. He unveiled our culture to the rest of the world, he was a pioneer.
What was the worst thing about the Russian communist experience?
As far as I know and I hear from my family, the restriction of individual freedom.
And the best?
Besides all the problems, the communist period taught us a lot about discipline and cooperation.
