Natasha Poly

what an ego , I have a lot of respect for what he has done in the past, but if anything, it was the Ungaro team who embraced Natasha's talent as a runway model back in the day

too bad she was not at Cavalli, well, at least she did Versace ^_^

I compiled videos of Natasha on the Red carpet together (mainly in Cannes)

at Roberto Cavalli S/S 2016

at Peter Dundas' party in Milan

Thankfully she didn't walk Cavalli  She sat front row at the show though.

But it was Riccardo Tisci who created her career!

He was the one who flew exclusively Natasha from Russia to Milan for a photoshoot, when Natasha was just 18, back in 2003 for a photoshoot, it was Natasha's first international modeling job!

On her Vogue Spain dedicated issue, there Natasha states that Riccardo was the man who made her career happen, and Riccardo even says a few words about Natasha, and what he saw that was so special about her! He even has inside a couple pages dedicated to him because he was the one who saw her potential.

It's not an ego matter, he wouldn't be saying something like that to media outlets if it wasn't the truth!

Was it really? I apologize if it's true. However, I don't remember, what she did for Givenchy in 2003-2004? I remember Ungaro S/S 2004 collection being her first big show....

I don't know if it was for Givenchy or something he was doing on his own, but Vogue Spain got the first two pictures of Natasha's international modeling career, on that work for Tisci!

And yes Ungaro was her first big show but she was already working with Tisci by that time, because she said Tisci was the one who flew her from Russia so she can start an international modeling career otherwise she could still be in Russia modeling.

p.s. if you want I can snap them from Vogue Spain's Natasha issue and post it here! :flower:

no-no, there is no need for it, I do believe you 100%, thank you. I just thought if she worked for him, I would have remembered the images and to me Natasha is not the first name associated with Givenchy, she is Gucci first and foremost

Don't you want to see the photos, they are really good!

Oh and I remember now an interview he made with vogue.com where he said Natasha worked for him on a brand he worked before Givenchy, here's a quote from his interview:

I was the first one to organize papers to make Natasha come to Italy. This was before designing for Givenchy. The first job I gave her was a campaign for a label where I was working, and since then she’s done all my shows. - Riccardo Tisci for vogue.com

Wow. Good to know! Thanks for this. Which label was Riccardo with prior to Givenchy?

Re amFAR: Wow wow wow she looks ravishing. She makes Peter Dundas' trash at Cavalli look exquisite. Look at her selling it to the gods!

here is what I found
After graduating in 1999, he returned to his native country - where he worked for a number of brands including Antonio Berardi, Coccapani, Puma and Ruffo Research.
In September 2004 he set up his eponymous label, showing his first collection in Milan for the autumn/winter 2005-06 season.
could it be Coccapani? Sounds familiar as if I saw Natasha in this brand's campaign, or was it for his own label collection? I doubt it was though, since it was for F/W 2005 season

That's his own show in 2005 if I'm not wrong.
