Dolce & Gabbana close out the Cannes Film Festival with an unforgettable fête
Tuesday, May 26, 2009

(CANNES) "I'm still saving up for the boys' fabulous night!" quipped Dita Von Teese at 2 a.m. on Thursday night, the evening (or morning?) before Dolce & Gabbana's usual Cannes bash. And Teese meant it--she understood that the guests at the sixth annual affair weren't expected to sit around and nibble on cheese and crackers. Instead, the dance floor awaited. With the guest list at Le Baoli reduced significantly from last year--and the VIP room completely abolished--there was no escaping the music for those invited by the duo to close out the Festival Friday night. "This has truly become our favorite little party of the year," smiled an elated Domenico Dolce. "We come here and spend time on Stefano [Gabbana]'s yacht, see friends, and really leave happy and relaxed."

Carine Roitfeld, son Vladimir and Anna Dello Russo immediately hit the metallic dance floor, with Claudia Schiffer and Eva Herzigova joining them immediately after. "They're both just fabulous to the core," announced Gabbana. "You kind of forget about everything in the world when you're with these two," boasted Herzigova while dancing with the designers to Lady Gaga and Kanye West. "And you come out looking better, too!" Natasha Poly agreed. "I'm having so much fun here in Cannes, I already forgot about the stresses of the campaign season," she said. "That felt like ages ago."

Aliona Doletskaya, Kerry Washington, Lady Victoria Hervey, Peaches and Pixie Geldof and Alice Dellal partook in the festivities, and Kylie Minogue joined the crowd around 2:30 a.m. "I went from performing in the middle of Morocco to just having a concert in a very sweaty club to joining my friends at this amazing party," the entertainer exclaimed. "Cannes made my dreams come true!"

Amen. I couldn't agree with you more.
It's not only because she is my favourite model. She is just perfect for it.

I really can't hold in any more excitement for the Gucci campaign.

^ she is, she really is :flower:

La Vie en Cotillard
Dior and French Elle host a dinner in honor of Marion Cotillard in Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc
Tuesday, May 26, 2009

(CANNES) Those who spent nearly seven hours at Du Cap during the epic amfAR gala were destined to return to the venue...the very next night. Marion Cotillard and Dior were certainly worthy Eden Roc causes, as French Elle hosted a dinner to honor the Oscar winner and the latest John Galliano muse. "Being Lady Dior is fabulous," Cotillard decided while looking out to the port of the Antibes. "I meet beautiful people and go to amazing parties. But most of all I love John; he's so unique and creative. I like people who take risks, and he's the boldest designer of them all."

It turned out, of course, that nearly everyone in attendance was in turn a fan of the actress. "There're very few luminous and absolutely transcending actresses in our generations," said Sidney Toledano. "Women that could take your breath away like Sharon Stone, Monica Belucci...Marion is certainly in that magical league." "Besides being a phenomenal actress, she's very modern and intelligent woman," added Delphine Arnault. "She makes us all want to dream!" Other Dior dreamers and guests included the actress' Nine producer Harvey Weinstein with wife Georgina Chapman, Alex de Betak, Natasha Poly, Ed Chapman and Patrick Demarchelier.

As guests sat down for dinner, Eugenia Silva took in the view and admitted that she learned to pace herself during the festival. "I was here in the very beginning, and just came back for this dinner. You need to have an escape plan during the Festival," she offered. "Otherwise, you'll be trapped in the five hotels that host an endless string of parties here." As everyone toasted the woman of the hour with champagne, Cotillard admitted to harboring one tiny regret. "I get to wear amazing Dior dresses, but I don't get to keep them," she smiled. "They all go into this magical archive!"

That doesn't mean anything, she was at the premiere of two movies yet she didn't star in them.

Khyrk, She's a big name in the fashion industry so she's likely going to show up to any type of major fashion event like she has been ;)

There's nothing wrong if we speculate things right. Of course we all know she is Dolce and Gabbana's guest this year as she was with the Caten twins last year. Well at least its safe to say that she was invited at the Dior party since she's a model.

These were just posted over in the Polaroid thread, I searched this thread but only saw one of them posted here. Sorry if they're reposts!

I love her at Cannes. Her press photos are so lovely.

Does she actually wear glasses? If so, how darling!
