Lands Victoria’s Secret

Pulse supermodel and hot Jamaican export known as ‘The Body’ Nell Robinson has nabbed the first Victoria’s Secret campaign for 2007. Robinson, who is based in London, was holding options with fellow Pulse superstar Jaunel Mc Kenzie back in December. Mc Kenzie flew to St. Barts at the end of last year for her assignment, while Nell will show off her assets for the industry’s most famous lingerie line on the sunny shores of Miami Beach.

The courtship with Victoria’s Secret began last Fall when she saw executives on request castings in New York. Nell’s network of agencies, collectively believed that it was only a matter of time before VS took notice of her exquisite physical assets, something the editors at ARENA capitalized on early in Nell’s career. It is no wonder that they declared her ‘The Body’ on her appearance on the cover and in a stunning editorial for the magazine in 2005. Nell’s Arena cover incidentally, was the first edition for 2005, proving that she really knows how to kick off a new year in style.

Since that landmark ARENA cover shoot, Nell has distinguished herself as the model for fashion’s supersexy fashion editorials and campaigns. GQ, Gossard, D Squared and a host of other major industry players have booked this hot Caribbean star. But this stunning beauty is not about to be cast in this role only. She has done fashion editorials for Cosmopotitan and is now the face of Rimmel.

“She’s obviously perfect for Victoria’s Secret” says Pulse’s CEO Kingsley Cooper, the man who introduced Nell to her London agents, Select, who booked the campaign. Robinson, leads a frenetic life, working and traveling for fashion and fun. Says Nell, “it is simply a matter juggling a very hectic schedule”.

Herself something of a celebrity figure on the British and international social scene, Nell returned to London this week from holidays in Jamaica and on Barbados’ East Coast with her beau Rod Sweeney, owner of International Talent Booking, which represents such hot acts as Beyonce & The Rolling Stones. With their combined schedules doubly hectic, they spend almost as much time in the air as they do on the ground. Together, they are an item at the Grammy’s, the Golden Globes, The MTV Music Awards and just about everywhere that matters.

No stranger to international stardom, Nell’s family includes mom Janet, herself a former international model, an aunt Cindy Breakespeare-Bent, a former Miss World and hot reggae superstar cousin, Damian Marley.

She heads to Miami Beach on the weekend for the Victoria Secret shoot, before joining her manager Kingsley Cooper in New York on Tuesday to cast for the collections there and to start the long overdue US leg of her international career.
