It's in the GUARDIAN UK , Weekend Magazine 05-02-05 , available at Selfridges and Harvey Nichols , but no price given , so I think you're looking at about £1500 or thereabouts , when you consider what a pair of Balenciaga boots or shoes cost !

the balenciaga is ridiculously overpriced. you should either wait for it to go on sale and see if you can still find one, or look around for a vintage wide cinch belt from the 1950's. alaia's also done a very similar belt in the 80's...you maybe just maybe might come across one somewhere.

it's crocodile, though. still nowhere near worth $2000...you can have something much more substantial (or several more substantial things) for that kind of price... the most i'd pay for that belt would be like $500.
