Hello, I am a new designer/couturier (been sewing for about 5 years) looking to get an entry level job in the industry (associate designer/technical designer). Ive been applying to jobs like crazy but usually get an immediate rejection. Would love some insight into the process and if there is anything I am not doing. I am attaching my portfolio, if anyone could take a few minutes to go through it and give me some feedback on its strengths and weaknesses that would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I cannot see your attached portfolio or you forgot to attach it.

Disclaimer: I am not a fashion designer by profession but I work in digital product space so can at least give you feedback from the mix of both worlds, to a degree.

When it comes to your page, you need to bring your portfolio more forward. It should literally be the first thing I'd see once opening your link. One needs to "find" the portfolio; it's a bit hidden under a few clicks - it should be available right off.

Portfolio:

* "Completed Works" - the Techno Fusion collection and how it's photographed in the dark doesn't allow me to see the details. And also that - show the details. The way the rest of other projects is presented is rather inconsistent. Find some common language - even it's simple but something that doesn't look that low key. Some more effort needs to be added there. Maybe talk there more about the process overall/inject some level of story-telling? I think the fact that you've made some pieces it's already good.

As for your CV - numbers! Bring more numbers to the table - you've improved a process? How much savings has it generated? How big teams have you worked with? How many collections have you developed? What's the worth of alterations you've made? How have you maintained your business clientele? How many pieces have you sold?
