love the leopard print...its a vintage Dior print i think, i read that somewhere...

but i think the shoe should be cleaner, the heel takes away from the shoe imo

I like the whole collection but I hate that leopard print (it is vintage Dior), I love those studded black spectators(?) and Im interested to see how the ruched loafers look on someones foot.

they're not ruched...it has elastic on the back :) :flower:

I think the loafers are pretty chic, you can tell that they are cut very low on the sides, that´s so elegant...!

these are my favourites, I like the detailing at the front:heart:

I must admit that others are doing much better footwear than Frisoni at Vivier - most of what I´ve seen so far looks like the focus is on decoration (rhinestones, studs, whatsoever), whereas the shapes are rather average than outstanding.

My favourites are still Pierre Hardy at Balenciaga, Helmut Lang, Christian Louboutin and Rochas (plain beautiful shapes).

That is what I have been thinking for quite some time. What ever happened to innovative shapes and styles? Forget embellishments. They are purely to enhance. They do not cover the fact that it's a plain and mediocre shoe!

I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with this collection, but it's okay. The bags are nice!

I didn't know that Pierre Hardy designedd Balenciaga shoes either. That explains why (I think) they are so amazing!

i agree.. i was hoping for more from roger vivier. But at least there will always be Christian Louboutin's collections :woot:

Pierre Hardy is the designer of Balenciaga shoes (both men & women), as well as the shoe designer for Hermes for over 10 years.
I personally think Roger Vivier par Bruno Frisoni has been extremely overpriced. Frisoni admitted that he's a decorative person, however that doesn't allow him (or Tod's, the mother co. of RV today) to charge 450EU or up for a pair of RV, when they are no better than Manolo, Louboutin, or Pierre Hardy; forget Jimmy Choo, who simply has no magic whatsoever. RV's creations are beautiful, but, they are making a fool of the customers, people are not that fool to fall for this. Also, it's simply stupid of Tod's to make duplication of the buckle shoes @ Hogan. they shouldn't treat a prestigious French brand this way, ever!

I´m afraid 450€ is a common pricepoint for high end footwear designers nowadays, and I´m not speaking of Prada or Miu Miu but of people in the league of Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Rochas or Pierre Hardy. It´s not that I justify the price or quality (I actually don´t know about Vivier´s quality), but this is what they all charge, non?

Anyone know who carries Roger Vivier in the US? Love these ( fall 2006) from style.com...
