This is so sad. I hope that both he and his friend are OK. I love watching him on "Hogan Knows Best."

The pics of his car are here: http://www.tmz.com/2007/08/26/new-pics-of-nick-hogans-crash/
Nick Hogan in Serious Car Accident

UPDATE: Nick Hogan is reportedly in serious condition, but the passenger in the car sustained more severe injuries. He is listed in critical condition.

Hulk Hogan's son, Nick, was seriously injured in a car accident tonight in Clearwater, Fla.

Law enforcement tells TMZ the accident occurred around 7:31 PM ET. According to police, a Toyota Supra, driven by Nick Bollea (Hogan's real name), was traveling at a very high rate of speed when it lost control and hit a raised median. The car was flipped around and the back end hit a palm tree. The impact, we're told, "destroyed the entire car." The two male occupants were flown by Medivac helicopter from the accident scene to a hospital in St. Petersburg. We're told both men had "very very serious" injuries.

The accident happened on Court Street, a main drag in downtown Clearwater, causing the entire street to be shut down for hours.

No 911 call was made to police. The accident was called in by an officer who rolled up right after the crash happened.

Hulk Muscles Way to Crash Scene

A frantic Hulk Hogan got right to the scene of his son's extremely serious car crash last night, just moments after it happened.

WFTV Orlando shot footage of the wrestler -- clad in his usual tank top and bandana -- talking with paramedics before his son Nick and his as yet unidentified passenger were airlifted to a nearby hospital.

TMZ has just confirmed that Hogan was discharged from the hospital early this morning.

Hulk Hogan’s son, Nick, is doing much better.
The reality TV star was released from a Florida hospital this morning after this horrific car crash last night.
Our thoughts are with the other passenger in the vehicle, who is still hospitalized and in critical condition.

NICK HOGAN RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL

A number of media outlets in Florida are reporting this morning that Nick Hogan was quietly discharged from the Bayfront Medical Center. There is still no confirmation on what injuries Hulk Hogan's son suffered in his car accident last night. Hogan was initially listed in serious condition in media reports. His passenger was listed in critical condition.

He has always had the need for speed. People here in Florida are bad drivers to begin with (at least where I live), he is lucky to be alive and that he didn't hit another car in the accident. I hope that he and is passenger are well soon.

^ The first thing I thought about when I read this was the Hogan Knows Best eps. when he is learning to drive/ getting his liscense....
He sure did to have a need for speed.... as someone said.

I hope his passenger is okay too.

Witnesses on the scene of the near-fatal Nick Hogan car crash are confirming that he was racing a silver Dodge Viper at the time, but police say it’s too early to know for sure what led to the crash.
No charges have been filed.
After a big hug and thanking God that he’s okay now, we’d smack the sh*t out of Nick for risking his own life and putting innocent people in danger as well!

People who crave speed like he does are just natural thrill seekers who think they are invincible and that nothing bad will ever happen to them. Hopefully, this is a wake up call for him. Even so, he is going to have to live with the consequences of his actions one way or another, especially if the passenger in his car does not survive.

Thank God no alcohol was involved. They all would have been dead for sure.

^^ I agree...when you are behind the wheel of such a powerful car (such as his hooked up supra) you think you can do anything.I bet he was trying to show off in front of his friend when the Viper came up and revved on him. ..

Uh-oh spaghettio....

Nick Hogan Is Due In Court!

Oh, boy.
Nick Hogan is in some serious sh*t.
Lucky to be alive after his near fatal car crash on Sunday, new details are emerging about his dangerous driving tendencies.
Nick was caught speeding earlier this month in Florida. He was going 82 in a 45 mph zone (at 10:30 AM). Oh, and he was speeding in a construction zone with workers present - which makes it worse).
He was also cited for failing to wear a seatbelt.
What an idiot!
Hogan is due in a St. Petersburg court on September 10th for this previous incident.
If it is proven that he was speeding and/or speed racing, he will face far more serious consequences as a result Sunday’s crash. Hopefully the other passenger injured will make it through okay….so then he can sue Nick’s as hardcore!!!
Reckless motorists are awful!

I am pretty disgusted with this article. Just because the kid has a famous father and local ties to Tampa, Tampa Bay Online is doing whatever they can to give him a good name. But the kid has messed up, big time. Other teenagers have made the same mistakes and are villanized.

Nick Hogan is going behind bars!
The 17-year-old was sentenced by a judge in Florida on Friday in his tragic car crash case and he will begin serving time immediately.
The Hulkster's son plead guilty to reckless driving and this is the price he has to pay:
- 5 Years Probation
- 8 Months in Jail
- 500 Hours of community service, no buyout available
- 3 Years of Drivers License suspension
- No alcohol for 5 years
- DUI school completed within the first year of probation
- Paying court costs.

It could've been worse...but I think it was a fair sentence for a 17 yr. old and will most certainly set him straight. He won't do the full 8 months anyway, I'd be surprised if he does 2.

so then he was driving intoxicated. . . that makes the sentence more than fair.

8 months is not enough. Nick's friend will never wake up and he party it up and went on with his life like it was nothing. He's a spoiled brat.

I hope he has finally learned his lesson.
A car is a very dangerous weapon in the hands of a moron.
