Babydoll,do you know Nico's exact Birthday?I think I've never heard it all this time. She's so mysterious and unique-I imagine her to be Aquarius or Scorpio...I want to do her numerology.

In my opinion it's definitely on october 16th, there's a website where you can find her chart: www.astrotheme.com

and I must say it's really weird, i have a very similar chart, i am a libra with an aries ascendant (as nico and john lennon too!) and i am also dominated by the planet saturn, it's the planet of melancholy, loneliness and sometimes i 've read it's not a lucky planet, just to let you know apparently ian curtis was also dominated by this planet ( with also pluto...), im not an astrology freak but I'm curious, I think they may be something true in this...
I understand why i feel so close to her!

to let you know i'm born on september 28th 1987 at 6h26 p.m in France, if somebody could do my chart and comapre it to Nico, i'm curious lol

Thank You,that's great that you found Nico's chart already done like that.Yeah,I'll have to read up on it and see more of the details.
Well, with Nico's personality,it would have to be complex.

Marlene, thanks for posting that link. I don't speak French but my mom does so i sent it to her. I'm excited to read it and see what it says. My friend's mother is really into astrology so i'll try to ask her about the chart.

Marlène, you share your birthday with Brigitte Bardot...

I just watched the movie Factory Girl and why did they make Nico seem like such a biatch in it??? :( THat movie kind of biased.

I agree, that movie was on the same level as the Doors movie when it comes to Nico. They both put her in ugly mini dresses and gave her a horrible accent.

For those of you who haven't seen her in the Doors movie here it is...

I actually think that the Edie did a good job for the few seconds she was on camera.

Awww Jesus! That part of the movie is sooo good. Everything is perfect, that is, except that awfull actress that does Nico. How wrong!!! The accent, the look, the hair (where is her blonde fringe?), the clothes, even her height. She is even smaller than everybody while Nico was a very tall woman..... Blasphemy for all Nico's fans.
I have bought and seen this movie so many times and i feel so bad when "Nico" appears. It ruins everything. Such a good re-creation of the Warhol crowd/factory. The actors who play Andy, Baker and all the rest are perfect. I was in awe of wonder when I have seen the scene for the first time (until the "Hi, I am Nico" part. Geez!). And yes, the girl who plays Edie is awesome. But Nico, arrrgg, it almost brings tears of frustration every single time. What a let down....

OOOOOOOhhhhh nooooooooooo, not again!!!!!

haha, that Doors movie is so funny. I don't think Crispin Glover makes a very good Andy Warhol, I think he sounds a lot like that cat puppet from "Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood."

I have to admit that you got a point here! LOL!

And that's not how Jim and Nico met! Didn't they meet at the Castle and were introduced by Danny Fields. I remember reading this in Please Kill Me. They just sort of stood in the kitchen, sizing each other up, not saying a word. Here, I found part of the passage in Please Kill Me (if you don't have this book, please get it!!)

Danny Fields: "I've never had any respect for Oliver Stone, but after seeing his version of the Morrison/Nico meeting in the Doors movie - 'Hello, I am Nico, would you like to go to bed with me?' - the reality of it couldn't have been more different. What really happened was that I met Morrison at the Elektra office in L.A. and he followed me back to the Castle in his rented car. Morrison walked into the ktichen and Nico was there and they stood and circled each other. Then they stared at the floor and didn't say a word to each other. They were both too poetic to say anything. It was a very boring, poetic, silent thing that was going on between them. They formed a mystical bond immediately - I think Morrison pulled Nico's hair and then he proceeded to get extremely drunk and I fed him whatever was left of my drugs that Edie Sedgwick hadn't stolen."

I would love to have seen a photo of Nico and Jim together.

This exactly what I read about Nico & Jim first meeting in a Doors/Morrisson bio. Probably in "Wonderland Avenue" by Danny Sugarmen. Their meeting is also described in the book "Life & Lies of an Icon". The account of it is similar. The Velvet Underground were in L.A., staying at the Castle (I think they had a gig schedule for the Rainbow). Danny Fields had to idea to bring Jim Morrisson to the Castle to meet Nico. His words were that he was curious to put those "two adorable monsters together" and see what would happen....

Thank you for the book excerpt. I really have to get this book. I'd also be very happy to see a photo of Jim & Nico together, if it ever existed.

And they dated for a couple months. They would go to the desert and pick payote and cut their thumbs and write poetry. It was definetly brief but not a one night stand. I think that Jim hung out with so many different people that they felt there was no time for all of them. But they didn't have to make Nico look like a cheap hooker.

Ahhh, she is so beautifull in that video! Thank you!
