I found there might be a slight ressemblance on this photo.... But it is more a trick from the light; A happy accident I would think. PHOTO CREDIT: Suzanne Paradis.

You do look like her in that picture! Thanks for those pictures. It's nice to seem tham large since they're so small in the book. Are you going to scan the ones of her when she's young? I would love to see them larger!

Have any of you read the book Please Kill Me: the Oral History of Punk? I'm reading it now and they talk about Nico a lot. They talk about her with the Velvet's, her with Jim Morrison, her with Iggy. And i'm only on like page 60 and i've already learned more about her. I hope that they talk about her solo career and not just her with other rock stars.

I love Please Kill Me. :) Unfortunately, they primarily talk about Nico in relationship to Iggy, Lou and Jim. I don't recall anything about her solo stuff, but it's been awhile since I read it. It's an otherwise good book, totally epic.

Poor Nico, for someone who seemed very alone in life she's been regulated to to psuedo-groupie status in death. I blame Oliver Stone and "The Doors!"

I hate how they portrayed her in that movie :yuk: It was the complete opposite of the real Nico imo.

I haven't read that book but I have heard so much about it. I remember holding that book in the library store but I wasn't sure so did not buy it; now I regret it...
I was also very disturbed when I saw how Nico was portrayed in Oliver Stone "The Doors". For a director who is well known to do a lot of research in preparation of a movie, I was appalled at the pseudo-Nico he portrayed in his movie. Everything about her was wrong: her voice, accent, her height, hair, clothings and the worst was her behaviour... Totally the opposite of the real Nico. What a shame!

"I never had much respect for Oliver Stone, but after seeing his version of the Morrison/Nico meeting in the Doors movie - 'Hello I am Nico, would you like to go to bed with me?' - the reality of it couldn't have been more different." - Danny Fields

Wow, as if i wasn't upset enough by Factory Girl look at how they portray Nico!

They put her in a dress! And the girl gets the accent wrong! Nico did not have a hard accent! This is insane!

Oh noooo! Nico with a red dress? Awefully wrong! The movie looks interesting though. Thank you for sharing this video... Do you know who is playing Nico?
