There´s an article in todays fashion supplement of argentine newspaper La Nacion. Some clip notes:

-It says that his mother, sisters and cousins kept nagging him that he should be a model so he left his home town Rosario and came to Buenos Aires where he met Patricia Cardiou Diehl from Bananas.
-In Rosario he did graphic design and programing.
-Says that his strong feature is his classic look, cause his family has italian, spanish and german blood. So he can look european or argentinian.
-Says he´s trying the photographer thing, that he met some magazines publishers. He did something for NYT and GQ.

If you don't mind, I'd love one :) :) Well my spanish isn't as bad as I thought but there some points I didn't understand.

It's a very nice interview, i congratz the reporter via twitter (such a fan ), but he never gives interviews and he doesn't live in Argentina, it was very difficult had an interview with him.

“La Nacion” Interview, "Rosario-Milan"
By Catalina Lanus

This story is very simple, one day his family convinced him to be a model. He went from Rosario to Buenos Aires, he met Patricia Cardiou Diehl (Director at Banana’s Model Agency in Paris), she was in Buenos Aires scouting people, and another day passes and Nicolas Ripoll went from being a normal boy to a male model. His debut was big, he was exclusive to open and close the Prada Show in Milan. They paid him 15, 000 Euros, and since then for three years he hasn’t stopped.
Paris, Milan, New York, and London. Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Zegna, Iceberg, Max Maria, Prada…international runways, editorials, ads, just part of the Ripoll’s list, (he is 24), a skinny boy with a modern face, and a great smile, he is 1,87 meters and 70 kilos. Educated and loving. He went to Buenos Aires for a month, “I started this because my family insisted; my mom, my sisters, and my cousins”, he laughs.
Q: A start from the bottom
Nicolas: Yeah, I arrived in Paris, and immediately I did a couple of editorials. Afterwards the shows started in Milan, I flew there and I did very well. My first show was for Prada, that’s what got me to where I am. It was a bit difficult because when you start at such a high place, it’s hard to maintain that because I didn’t know anything about fashion. There I found out that it was something important. Prada took me and made me exclusive for them to open and close their show. I was the first look for the show. Imagine, I appeared in all the media, I was like the “new boy”, from then on I was in between 20 and 25 show’s per season, a lucky guy can do 15.
Q: What did you do back in Rosario?
Nicolas: I was a graphic designer for computer, nothing too interesting.
Q: Did you feel like you could be a model?
Nicolas: Nooo, I was complicated. I didn’t like going out, or putting on shorts because my legs were so skinny and I was tall.
Q: How is it to work outside?
Nicolas: It’s good, the people are real polite, correct, no one screams, everything is relaxed.
Q: What do you think is your strongest feature?
Nicolas: I don’t know, I have a classic look. My family is incorporated from by immigrants, Spaniards, Italians, and Germans. That’s why I think I could work with a lot of clients, because I can look like I’m European or Argentine.
Q: Do you know the top designers?
Nicolas: Yeah, I know all of them. Donatella, Miuccia. They’re normal people that are really cool with the models. One sees them on television and says, wow!, but they’re just normal people. I’ve worked with Galliano many times, he’s very, very fun. I opened his last show. It’s sad to see what’s going on with him. Donatella is all day locked in her room, she’s very focused. With Armani I haven’t worked with, he prefers more muscly guys. Miuccia Prada is very fun, she’s Italian, but to us she spoke to in English. It’s really nice hearing an Italian speaking English. Sometimes she would say things like, “Change the terrausers”.
Q: How is the atmosphere at a show?
Nicolas: It feels great. More when you’re going to open the show, it’s fun, it gives you a lot of adrenaline. You don’t see anyone, you have to look straight ahead and walk. Straight to the cameras. The first time that I did that I got scared, I was walking, I had to stop and I had a wall of just photographers taking my pictures and flashes all on me. I got scared, but then I did my turn and I left.
Q: What do your friends from school say?
Nicolas: They miss me, hopefully the can come visit me, but the ticket is really expensive.
Q: When is a models career finished?
Nicolas: I started a lot older, I was 21. There are guys that start around 15 or 16. You could last around 7 years. But if you want to do it for the rest of your life, you can. I think a strong career could last around 4 or 5 years. It’s all a transition, first you do the shows, then campaigns, then perfumes, watches. Meanwhile the more older you are in your career the bigger things you get, watches, campaigns.
Q: Do you like your job?
Nicolas: It’s perfect for me, I love to travel. I also do photography, I’m trying to do a lot of things. I learned how to use the camera, I practice, I’ll find my style, I think the secret is in one’s own. I’ve met various magazine editors. Yeah, I see myself doing photography. I already did something for NYT, and GQ.
Q: How do you take care of yourself?
Nicolas: I don’t do anything. Sometimes I run once in a while. I’ve always done everything normal, I eat everything.
Q: Do you model clothes that you don’t like?
Nicolas: Obviously not everything I put on for show’s I’m not going to like. But it’s all a personality. When you model clothes that you like you feel more confident, with clothes that you don’t , you still have to put on a good face. That’s what clothes is, and we the models are just mannuequins.
Q: Really cool, the past collections from Milan and Paris.
Nicolas: Yeah, every time it gets even crazier. It’s all for the Japanese. They literally buy the runway, it’s their concept, the brands take a look to every boutique in the world, then they also offer normal clothes. The runway clothes is more so for the Japanese, they wear everything.
Q: What else do you think is your strong feature?
Nicolas: I think my charismatic is a good trait. Us Argentines are really simple, calm, down to earth. I work around the world and I keep being me. I’m normal.
Q: You feel very observed when you go to meet possible clients?
Nicolas: Yes, I do.
Notes:
Nicolas: Women make more. It’s because fashion in general is made for women. They make 2 to 3 times more than the men. But I believe I get paid good, I’m not complaining.
Nicolas: I was in Italy, and one day I left my hotel so that I could go eat some McDonald’s, and right in front of it there was an ad of me. People started to recognize me, so I had to leave.
Nicolas: I look older for my age, I don’t feel beautiful, I feel normal.
Nicolas: Here in Argentina, I don’t work much, I did and editorial for Ona Saez, A. Y not dead, and Garcon Garcia. I also walked in shows for BAFWeek.
