I haven't watched the film, but according to interviews they start off the series 3 years after the end of the movie. The show revolves around Nikita having gotten and out and then wanting to take down the agency that created her.

I just watched the 1st episode and I liked it. This guy who plays Michael, wasn't he in the sad movie with Demi Moore? Wouldn't expect him to play in the movie like Nikita.

The girl who plays Nikita is the exact opposite of the old Nikita, but it's ok.

If anything CW is trying present a new Nikita like James Bond with different actors...
at first I was hesitant about the show but so far I really like it. Plus I don't want Nikita and Michael together, the actors together isn't convincing for me (so far) but I like the idea of Nikita and Owen together.

Knowing that Melinda Clarke is a villainess is also awesome

But she's too tacky and vulgar for this role. Amanda should look elegant, not seedy.

It's difficult for me to choose between Nikita and Alex (if I'd be asked about my fav character), they both are cool and kick-a**-y.

^I like both Nikita and Alex. Their characters are similar, but very different at the same time.

This weeks episode is probably the first one which I didn't like as much as the others. I think most can tell that this is the episode where CW really did meddle with something that was perfectly fine Anyways hopefully next week will be better, here's a little preview.

I started watching this show but just couldn't handle it.
The acting, the styling (Nikita's wardrobe is pure copy of Max from Dark Angel: leather jacket, red dress etc.) and plot holes just finished it to me.

Don't know if anyone else on tfs still watches this but ep 11, "All the Way", was uh-mazing. They really left the series on a huge cliff hanger for the mid-season break. I will definitely be waiting for the next instalment which I think is on Jan. 27th.

i've seen the first 4 episodes and thought it's ok but nothing great so i'll probably not watch it again; does it get better?

^ I'm probably biased but for me each episode gets better than the one before with the exception of ep. 10, but ep. 11 make up for it big time.

-Alex killed Thom. I was surprised! I felt bad for him.

^ Me too. But I feel worse for Alex after his last words, "you're gonna see me".

Still can't get over how much of a badass Maggie Q was. Her acting was not over the top but got the different messages across. Also her stunts were mind blowing. After the pull up in the chains people should probably stop questioning how a person of her build can pull off these stunts, Maggie has guns to boot.
