I can see some strengths in this, but it still seems to be a poor collection to me.

anyway, some of my favorite looks from this collection:

wearable pieces, and cute colors, but isn't strong as a whole, not focused and not original, pretty much looks like a mix of what others have done.

I don't see how this collection is weak. It's typical Nina Ricci style, classic elegance. The new designer is keeping the spirit of the house, which is important. <scratches head> I guess that's not exactly what I said about JPG designing for Hermes. Oh, well </scratches head>

i think that lars is doing an okay job trying to establish a nina ricci look. this is a very daunting task when you consider that ricci has no legacy. i miss the utterly chic sportswear he turned out last season and hope that his next show goes more in that direction than in this one. i feel like he's really holding himself back so it won't be a LARS collection but a lars for nina ricci collection.
