oh ,someone who feels just like me.the women is in many respects totally old-fashioned (even thoughh back then it might have been qquite daring that a woman leaves her husband and gets an divorce because he betrayed her)but especially the ending is as old-fashioned as it can get....but it´s just so wholeheartedly wonderful....and the relationship of women towards each other haven´t changed that much as it seems to me.just love the movie .it was already at the end of the shearer-era.

I don´t even care that this thread is 3 years old, I love Norma Shearer to pieces and she most definitely is one of the most underrated stars ever. Her acting was phenomenal (she really was the pre-code queen not just queen of MGM), she was stunning with an amazing sense of fashion and an infectious smile.
