Numéro #184 June/July 2017 : Cameron Russell by Txema Yeste

That's beautiful.

Txema's work for Numero is spot on.

Hauntingly beautiful. I like the eery mood, effects and styling, and the cover works because it's Numero who doesn't need to toe a commercial line. I also think it's a nice image for Cameron to have, photographers tend to go with a very one-note direction with her.

Last moment before she drowned

Yeah I think for me it´s a missed opportunity, she could have done a better job and look more elegant in her pose and the photo is not as attractive as it could have been, she should have used her hands and create a S shape with her body instead of posing straight on like that.

Yes Anlabe, Txema does glorious work for Numero Paris. This reminds me of a mid-00 cover.

It's a good concpet with great model but something is wrong here. It's looking to heavy.

Txema has so much talent, he really seems to shine with Numero :)

It had a lot of promise but Cameron just looks like a dead fish.

Really beautiful, I wouldn't expect anything less of Txema Yeste. He is one of a few interesting photographers right now.

lol are you demanding or what!

are you thinking of the coco rocha story? I think siren/sexualized poses as you drown are kind of too predictable by now.. I for one appreciate the tension here, it also makes that pretty garment she's wearing look more dramatic. I love this.. the mood and colors, even Cameron, who I find a little too ordinary, seems quite theatrical here, it's like she's staring deep into the photographer's soul like 'look at me, this better be the f*cking cover'.

ahaha you got me :D this is exactly the kind of imagery I have in my mind, I´m stuck in the 2000 with super angular poses reminiscent of the 80/90´s with super sexy poses and strong faces. I know it´s predictable but I prefer this over the ``don´t do anything and look with a stare in the camera´´ of nowadays models, just because it looks more ``intelectual´´ you know? I personally find Cameron smart and gorgeous in real life but BORING AS HELL in Fashion shoots, she does not bring the necessary drama to her shoots and clearly this is an example of what I´m saying here. (Although YES I know, on shoots the art director and the photographers are responsible to how the end pose and product looks like so it´s not always the model´s fault when the pic does not look as good as it could but in her case it does).

Not to sound like a fanatic,, but I will say in Cameron's defense that she's very rarely booked for real HF stories. It's mostly the commercial route, and I think it's because her notoriety overwhelms her modelling resume. Also, she doesn't have that edgy type of beauty. That's why I'm all for this shoot.

Yeah I also agree with you on that statement :flower: and I think she is capable of doing HF but she´s more styled and booked in a commercial way. Her face is not as edgy but with the right team and hair and makeup she can pull it off, I would love to see her styled in a futuristic dramatic all black outfit with a great pose and say SHE CAN DO IT ahaha

she looks more like ashley graham than herself ! i don't like this it's weird, rare from txema that i don't like his work !

I love that shade of blue and whatever she is wearing but Cameron leaves me cold, as always.
