I agree, really. I'm sick of these celebrities. I thought Nylon strived for something 'original and different'.

I agree. their content seems to be different and original but the covers are not too special...and I also think by them putting "celebrities" on the cover...the magazine may feel they will sell more. But I think if their going for the "original" thing...go all the way.

Just got a subscription to this on Amazon...first issue won't come for about 6 wks though . Does anyone know if there's a site to find out where it's sold? I've been to lots of bookstores around here and haven't been able to find it...to hold me over until first issue of subscription comes.

It bothers me as well, to see them going down this road. I remember days when they featured unknown models and international up and coming actresses, not Mischa Barton. And I still got the Mischa issue because I am a dedicated fan, but it sort of stunts the whole mag for me.

I am seriously considering writing to Nylon (and risk sounding like one of those anal farts who hassle editors all the time) to suggest a whole list of people who'd make better cover girls. Actually, I don't mean 'better', I mean more suitable for Nylon. Seriously...last month, it was Mischa Barton, this month Ashley Olsen...... the cover girl list is reading like a page in Heat magazine.
Valentine Fillol Cordier, Nora Zehetner, Lizzy Caplan, Anna Paquin, Christina Cole.....I could go on...I fear I'm sounding like a broken record though....

You should do that! Love the list. I can't help thinking it's a money thing, celebrities on covers do sell more. Makes me sad though, Nylon has been the best fashionmag you can actually read too for so long. Anyway, while they contine with these gossip-y covergirls I'll keep on buying it just to support them for great achievments in the past.

I assume it'll come out in about less than a week in NYC and London...everywhere else, give it till the first few days of June. They've started selling it everywhere in Toronto. To be honest I preferred it when I had to make a trip to a special magazine store to find it every month... and now even Aritzia is carrying it

Aritzia will be the downfall of everything cool. Now they have surface, too. And the employees don't even read Nylon. They just carry it because its indie and all.... not anymore
