Stars Jennifer Morrison Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Lana Parilla, Robert Carlysle, Jamie Dornan.

Looks like fun, I'm excited about this.

i'm looking forward to this one myself. i love the old faerie tales---and ironic this is on disney owned ABC which is renowned for it's animated depictions of the old stories.....totally appropriate. and robert carlyle....he's got a bit of that gary oldman-style character acting prowess so he's very cool.

This show looks interesting. I'll definitely watch the premiere. It sort of reminds me of Pushing Daisies a little bit.

From what I've seen this show looks interesting. I do love a good fairytale related story! And you are totally right Sobriquet87, it does seem like Pushing Daisies a bit. That was such a good show which went off the air long before it should have. They both seem to have that otherworldliness quality going on. Anyways, Once Upon A Time also reminds me a bit of my childhood spending sunday nights watching ABC's Wonderful World of Disney. Anyone else remember that? But maybe this is only because it's on the same channel, day of the week, and time.

^late 60's-70's version or the revived version in 97? i actually remember the disney sunday movie and the magical world of disney from the 80's.

i agree with you in that....as i said this is totally appropriate as disney made its name with faerie tales and fantasy films. only difference is that those generations of the past will get to enjoy all that but with a more mature bent.

^The revived version, I wasn't around for the earlier version, although I bet it was pretty awesome. And yes, it's totally appropriate that Disney is going back to it's roots with the fairytale theme. I look forward to seeing it be a bit more mature, although sometimes those Disney stories were pretty dark although as children we don't realize that. Also I hope they don't stick to cliches of fairytales.

I was the webrip just now of the pilot, it's really good. I'm going to continue watching it.

I enjoyed the pilot and will definitely continue to watch. Lana Parrilla was great as the evil queen/mayor. I am also not the biggest Ginnifer Goodwin fan but i did enjoy her performance in the pilot :heart:

I really enjoyed the show and look forward to next week's episode. B)

I liked it. First epi's are always about the setting up so it's difficult to tell but I like how they've woven the two worlds together. This being written but two guys who wrote on Lost had me looking for little clues and things from the very beginning. Only criticism is that we need to see more of Jamie Dornan!

I liked the first ep, and anything featuring Jamie Dornan has my support!! what was his fairytale character though...? a sherif in this world, is he supposed to be a knight?

yummy stills from first ep

Still from ep 2, is this "Gus" from Breaking Bad? the guy is really creepy!

LOL, I thought Sirius Black the moment I saw him in prison.

^^Agreed! I was so worried when Prince Charming was wounded because it meant one less hot guy. Thankfully, he's still on the show! And there was the Sheriff, but he works for evil so I'm not sure if I can root for him . On another note, Henry is a seriously cute kid.

Also enjoyed Jennifer and Ginnifer because I've been saying they look alike and then they are mother and daughter! :D The evil queen is also delightfully wicked, heh. I really enjoyed the Pilot.

^I´d say he´s a regular
*edit* on imdb says he´s in only 4 eps (as opposed the other characters that are on 9). Maybe if the shows gets picked up, he could return...?

I saw that SPOILERRed Riding Hood and Granny are gonna be on the show, so maybe Jamie plays the huntsman?

I've had the scripts (we have both Jamie & Josh Dallas the books), but like I do with Downton, I skim so as not to get too many spoilers! there's going to be a few other familiar faces popping up too (someone from Heroes) one newbie is going to have a pivotal role in goings on in Storybrooke, but I won't say much more. Jamie is there to stay so don't worry about that, shame his screen time in the pilot was so small but he is going to be doing more. Hurrah! Granny & Red Riding were briefly in the pilot, Granny owns the local B&B, there was something about Granny telling her off about being out so late or something! I actually love how they've transferred the Fairytale characters into our world.

This show is really great! I have only seen the pilot so far. Episode 2 airs this Sunday.

I love how they have integrated the fairytale characters into our world. ^_^
Snow White, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Rumpelstiltskin, Red Riding Hood and her Granny, Gepetto (from Pinocchio) and Jiminy Cricket... And I thought that the Sheriff might be The Huntsman, but I'm not 100% sure.

I think the casting is really good and I am excited to see more of this show! :woot:

Besides the one's featured in the pilot a number of other fairy tale characters have been confirmed as appearing by the producers: Malifecent (Kristin Bauer), the Magic Mirror (Giancarlo Esposito), Cinderella (Jessy Schram), the Witch from Hansel and Gretel (Emma Caulfield), and the father of Prince Charming (Alan Dale).
