Once Upon A Time

You guys! Stop posting about the show, you keep making me wanna check the thread out and I have still yet to watch the episode. :p

Glad it was a good one though.

Just checked the numbers, they're averaging an audience if 16.8 million viewers. This show isn't going anywhere!

^So Mary (the teacher) reading to John Doe makes him wake up

And Regina is John Doe's emergency contact, but he seems to get away before she does something to him which is good.

I think the Henry thing is just another subconscious thing, there's been so much of it. In the pilot, one of the kids in the class gave the teacher (Snow) a pear not an apple, or Leroy/Grumpy in the prison cell whistling "whistle while you work", there's all sorts of little things they've transferred so beautifully. Regina's office this week for instance, woodland wallpaper and a huge statue of a horse (a reference she made in fairytale land). The question is, who really remembers what? Does Regina know who she really is? Or does Mr Gold? Not to mention the million and one LOST references, has anyone else noticed them? I mean given who the writers are I expected something, but it's endless!
The numbers for the show have been really, really good though so I doubt we're going to be disappointed with a Season 1 cancellation which is good news!
I haven't noticed the LOST references, but I only saw season 1 when it originally aired and that was a long time ago.

You can't tell if Regina knows who she is or not 100% for sure. But it would make sense if she did since she is the one who unleashed the curse on everyone.

Here's what happened in the show during the one scene:
Mr.Gold comes into Regina's yard. Regina is picking up all of her apples and is putting them in a basket, since her tree was chopped down. Mr. Gold says he could help, but Regina says something like "I don't need your kind of help anymore". Then Mr. Gold proceeds to leave and takes a bite out of one of the apples, before throwing it over his shoulder back into her yard.

So here's my question, were the apples on her tree in the real world poisonous? Mr.Gold took a bite out of one and nothing happened. And Regina says I don't need your "kind" of help. Is that because she knows he's Rumpelstiltskin?

Although Mr.Gold/Rumpelstiltskin definitely seems to know who he is.

Anyway, I love this show! It's really interesting and there are a lot of subtle hints. Can't wait for the next episode.

^Mr gold knows, imo... the way he said "please"... I don´t think Regina knows but she senses something, she seemed confused.

ABC will rebroadcast episode 2 at 7pm before the new episode 3 at 8pm this Sunday. They seem to be doing catch-ups on a Sunday from the previous week, which is great news!

I keep forgetting to watch this show! It looks super cute.

I´m going to keep watching a couple more. Love Ginnifer Goodwin....I´m not sure yet about J.Morrison...I keep seeing Cameron from House...she looks too bimboish for the role...dunno

Mr Gold is a perfect cast! and the kid also....

WARNING epi 3 still, may be slightly spoilerish
Apparently this week we also learn what Prince Charming's real name is and why he's called Charming!

ABC

I just got a text saying they've been picked up for a full season. Great news! Especially as everything seems to be getting the axe this season.

WooHoo! I'm so glad that the shows been given a chance. I personally think Regina and Mr. Gold know about the curse. I did not see the servant being the Queens father, wish we get to see more of that relationship in the flashbacks. That True Blood lady, who was she playing and what were they talking about when they were saying about Snow taking someone or something away? I'm excited to see Richard Schiff - littlepaperstars, do you happen to know what episode he'll be in? I'm still in two minds about Jennifer Morrison but I love Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow and I forgot the name of the actor who plays Mr. Gold but he's the perfect person to play someone like Mr. Gold.

Also littlepaperstars, do you know of anywhere where I can find the Lost references? I love Lost but I can't seem to remember much from the earlier seasons.

^"Pam" from TB was playing Sleeping Beauty´s witch, Maleficent.

From what I know Richard Schiff will be in epi 11, he'll be playing the Enchanted Forest's King Leopold, Snow Whites father.

I can give you a few of the LOST references;

Before Emma decides to stay in Storybrooke, the town's clocktower is stuck at 8:15. The plane in LOST was Oceanic flight 815.

Emma's car has a Geronimo Jackson bumper sticker. That's a reference to a fictional band whose hit song "Dharma Lady" was featured on LOST.

Reginas house number is 108. The LOST numbers 4+8+15+16+23+42 =108

Emma was the name of one of the 3 children that survived the crash of flight 815 from the tail section. Swan was the name of "The Hatch" where Desmond was punching the computer button. Henry was the name of the ballonist that parachuted onto the island and then Ben took on his identity. Regina was the name of a person on the freighter, Kahana.

There are also a million Fairytale references in the show, you really do need to watch very closely. Emmas hotel room key had a swan on it, there was a Tinkerbell windcatcher in a garden, things like that. And a few from Alice in Wonderland too which is also going back to LOST.

Another great epi. They made it fairly obvious that the Sheriff is the huntman although we haven't seen him in Fairytale world. He certainly has the skills! I haven't got to do a set visit yet, cant wait though, but because we haven't had all the scripts in due to ABC hanging on to give it a full series so I don't know a massive amount, but does anyone else think that Dr Webber might be the big bad wolf, just on the way he was looking at Ruby "Red Riding"

Trailer or next week

^Doctor Webber - is that David Anders? I thought he was just checking out her @ss, lol. You're right, you do need to pay attention to catch the details.

Yeah, he's Dr Webber, I'm not sure whether they're on for anthropomorphizing things or not, but Ive learnt with this show to question everything so who knows.
