Orlando Bloom Honors Harry Potter

Orlando Bloom suits up for the 2010 National Movie Awards held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Wednesday (May 26).

The 33-year-old British actor presented the family film trophy to Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Bonnie Wright from Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince.

Daniel first apologized for the absence of his co-star Rupert Grint (he’s sick) and said, “It’s fantastic for us, six films in with two more to go, to still be getting this kind of recognition.”

Orlando Bloom Talks About His Dyslexia During Lecture Series

Orlando Bloom crosses his fingers while talking about his own experiences with dyslexia at the 2010 Adam Jeffrey Katz Memorial Lecture Series held at NYC’s Rockefeller University on Wednesday (June 2).

During the “Dyslexia and Creativity: Two Sides of the Same Coin” lecture, the 33-year-old British actor was joined on stage by Child Mind Institute’s Dr. Harold Koplewicz.

Orly learned to overcome the learning disability at a young age and earned a scholarship at the British American Drama Academy in his native England, before going on to study acting at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Honorary University of Kent degree for Orlando Bloom
Actor Orlando Bloom is to receive an honorary degree from the University of Kent, it has been announced.
The Hollywood actor will receive the degree on 13 July at a ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral, in the Kent city where he was born.
The star of The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean recently talked in New York about his battles with dyslexia and learning his lines.
He said he only succeeded by working harder than other actors.
Actor David Suchet will also be honoured with a degree on the same day, along with senior law lord Baron Bingham of Cornhill, constitutional expert Professor Vernon Bogdanor, and telecommunications entrepreneur Charles Wigoder.

Hugo Boss has announced that the actor will be the face for Boss Orange for men, following the footsteps of fellow Brit and tabloid target Sienna Miller who modeled for Boss Orange for women.
