Oscar de la Renta F/W 12.13 : Candice Swanepoel & Katryn Kruger by Craig McDean

it looks a little Cruel Intentions, and if that is the case and they pulled it off, I am probably going to like that.
I don't think that's Oscar de la Renta's drift but I'll stick to your comparison and probably warm up to it with a clearer image.. it makes a lot more sense than popular vs. unpopular, commercial vs. non-commercial or any other BS that's promoted here like two freakin' models can be from two separate planets.

Now, I know this is Oscar de la Renta and his conservative dressing and conception of femininity is popular among American socialités but I've seen him done better while sticking to his guns.. presenting his beautiful and traditional clothes in a context and through design that's modern and aimed at women that look modern too and not just pretty and lazy, 2001 w/ Caroline Ribeiro, 2008 w/ Raquel Zimmerman.. and it's not about the models, you can achieve similar if not better results with the current cast, he just needs to get his act back together when it comes to campaigns..

They're both beautiful, cannot argue about it, but on the photo with the pink dresses, Candice looks almost maternal? How's she's embracing Katryn, I don't really understand it

Same thought  Katryn looks like a frightened child being embraced by her overbearing mother.

My god what an odd pairing. Not digging this.

I am just seeing Katryn's uncomfortable look, and I cant get past it  It's almost as if she is saying "get this b**** away from me"

These are beautiful, great casting and styling!

Neither of them project any confidence while wearing Oscar. They both look very unsure of themselves, as though they are aware that they have no business wearing clothes that are clearly made for someone twice or three times their age.

I actually really, really like it. I don't know if its because I love Candice, or Oscar De la Renta, but I am really into this. The clothes in the ads look so lovely as well

OSCAR TAKES TWO: After five seasons of spotlighting Karlie Kloss in his ad campaigns, Oscar de la Renta is featuring two other models in his fall campaign: Candice Swanepoel and Katryn Kruger, who were shot by Craig McDean and styled by Alex White.

To maximize the Swanepoel-Kruger combo, one ad features two different shots of the models arm-in-arm for a total of four different dresses. Those who know Swanepoel for her Victoria’s Secret angel status will find her considerably more covered up in the de la Renta ads. The South African model, who grew up on a dairy farm, couldn’t wait to show fans her shots with the striking Kruger, who also hails from South Africa — Swanepoel tweeted a photo from their shoot late Monday night.

Kloss hasn’t dropped out of sight. Aside from appearing in Elie Saab’s new campaign, she also landed the September cover of Japanese Vogue, and the former ballerina has reportedly danced her way through a fashion shoot for W magazine.

What confuses me is that Candice is wearing the same dress in two shots with Katryn who is wearing the same dress with her in a different variation and then a different look....they had many dresses from that collection that would have provided a more interesting appeal to the campaign. I also find it somehow annoying how they kept making Candice's face look more towards Katryn in a few shots....like she's ready to make out with her....

definitely my top 3 campaigns this season, i love the colours
