Oscar de la Renta F/W 2022.23 New York

I always thought as a designer you would want the models to effectively 'disappear'.
That's why they always looked the same and were styled the same.
The models are to show the product and nothing more.
If the next day, people only talk about who walked or which celebrity was in the front row, the show is a failure.
They should only talk about the clothes. And these clothes don't look like Oscar DLR.

I like the first 5 looks only because they reminding of his last show Spring 2015. The rest is a mess. There nothing that reflect that subtle elegant, understated sophisticated lifestyle that Oscar doing so well.

I don't know what happened because the longer they stay at the house the more they lost touch of who are the ODLR clients. The floral section can be easy fit in the current D&G, and the last looks make no sense with ODLR

Just call Jason Wu, he can do wonder with this brand.

cathy horyn wrote a couple of months ago that they have a sell through of 90% at ODLR, which is quite insane, so i'm not sure they'd need jason wu?

Looks really cheap, neither the clothes nor the art direction speak to me of a high-end brand…

Oscar de la Renta was all about expensive lifestyle. This is about looking expensive on a budget, using fast-fashion clothes to try to get a "rich" look.

Wow, there is lack of diversity with the models.
