You have to respect a designer who knows and trusts their consumers instead of attempting to be the jack of all trends. This is completely in line with his vision and dare I say it almost a throwback to the sumptuous days of the 1980s when women were not afraid to combine color, print and volume all in one outfit.
I think his customers are going to be very happy. Hell, I'm happy just looking at this and it isn't necessarily something I'd wear but it fills me with a sort of happy energy. Across the board I think designers have been attempting to find ways to make fashion fun again, we've been mired in darkness for so long, even when the dark is chic it still doesn't give you that fun feeling that fashion can bring into your life.
I'm rambling, but this is a happy collection from a real pro (arguably the last real pro of his generation in NYC) and I appreciated it.
