Paco Rabanne F/W 2019.20 Paris

Wow! Something more sophisticated, more grown up, more glamorous!
I really like it.
I think Julien is doing a great job. Paco Rabanne did a lot of chainmail and hard clothes but there’s the other part of his work (more in the 70s, 80s) where he was wild, using light fabrics and expressing his love for a certain « idea of exotism ».
I wonder if those prints comes from the archives...

Nevertheless, beautiful cut as usual!
I love the leopard pieces! It’s been a minute since a saw a desirable leopard print but i’m Obsessed! I need to have them( the coat, the blaze and the pant)!

And the black gown after the look with leopard pant is STUNNING!
I almost never buy gowns but I would totally buy that one!

I see some Helmut Lang touches in the skirt with a train stuff but it’s well executed. Some pieces are a bit costumey but I don’t mind.

Seriously, i’m Shocked! A MAS show with girls with disciplined hair and sophisticated make-up? I wasn’t ready for that!

Amazing show. Very different from his previous collections but in a good way. Great prints.
In love with that dress on Rebecca.

Feels like he used magnetizers instead of plain metal, to attract random clothes and make the collection...

Absolutely loving the direction Julien is moving Paco Rabanne to, the brand finally feels relevant and fresh again. As Lola said, the leopard pieces are very effective, the chainmail is exquisite as always and I especially like how the high low dresses break up what could have been a slightly stuffy showing. And it's great to see that the brand has support from magazines, because I imagine their marketing power isn't nearly at the level of Gucci, Dior or Saint Laurent.

Fantastic collection, the playlist was the icing on the cake for me! Solid work from Julien!

More seriously, I don't hate it but I feel like it is all over the place and again the styling is a bit annoying as it feels heavy and too try hard but I love Julien Dossena. Last season I was praising him

I love a good mix of pattern, and some of this is really good. But somehow it looks dated. I agree with GivenchyAddict, the styling brings it down.

Im starting to really like his direction for Rabanne. There's some amazing updated archive looks here. Love the mixed metallics. Bit heavy on the styling maybe.

I like that powder blue dress everything else is over styled and over wrought, he should have done more iterations of that dress style.

beautiful show and clothes, great collection. it is wonderful to see a talented designer have a good time and not follow the pack. it really stands out in the crowd. esp in paris. bravo.

I was very much on the fence with the last collection, but he won me over with this one! I just like that it's such a fresh take and he's putting his own mark on this house. Definitely one of the strongest of the season, and keen to see how he'll expand going forward.

What a fun, beautiful collection. Can't wait to see his S/S.

I honestly don't know how I slept on this collection, I love Julien and this was a gorgeous show. So many flawless dresses and suits, the jewellry makes this looks so luxurious. My favorite outfit has to be the blue dress with stars followed closely by the skirts with long trains which are so very Helmut but fit perfectly with the rest. He really makes ecclecticism work ,unlike Nicolas, who gets lost in the mess.
