Paco Rabanne S/S 2023 Paris

Not my favorite Paco by Julien collection--I actually prefer the resort collection over this. I kind of miss Julien's earlier collections--though I assume they were less commercially and critically successful--they were quite chic, with that essence of sportswear. It started getting heavy-handed around 2019.

I feel like a lot of brands keep trying to push these heavy metal and BDSM-inspired collections but it feels so forced.

Nonetheless, it's nice to see a designer stay at a house for over 5 years and be allowed to evolve.

The first few looks, the neon part, got me scared but then it got better!
I find it interesting because the references are kinda obvious ( Gianni Versace, Alaia, Nicolas Ghesquiere) but somehow, it’s very Paco Rabanne by Dossena. And it’s funny that he references the designers Nicolas usually references…

I feel like the boots take this to a very Y2K territory that can be cringy when the clothes can have another vibe. The set was also quite claustrophobic.

I like it.

At first, I don't like it, it feels too much but after I watched the video the collection grow on me.

I like it because he still pushing it even though it is not as successful as his previous collections.
I think the first few looks don't work because of the color combination, change the neon colors then it can be better.
Look 10 jacket and look 23 orange and black coat are divine. My favorite of the show.

I don't like the styling, MAS is being weird again. The boots, the layerings, and the headscarves are too much. It makes the collection look heavier. I prefer the resort collection.

too many references!!! is he even aware of all that???
not my cup of tea definitely and way too messy and heavy.
