Pairing Shoes with Clothes Help Thread

^ So the 'keep this thread going' comment was actually referring to the thread the post was written for... I have a thread started specifically for F/W08 ankle booties! Fabulous styles out there, these were posted by a tFS'er and I thought immediately of this dress for a pairing, I think it would look amazing...

I tried on the leggings below today and fell in love with them. What shoes would you experts pair with these leggings?
I was thinking Minnetonka fringe boots in black suede like these- crazy?

Are these leather leggings, latex or something else?

If I were you, I'd try to tone down my look a little bit. Those kind of leggings are too "fierce"[:ninja::unsure:] and [dare say] attention-grabbing, so I wouldn't pair them with an equally unique pair of shoes. Try something more simple.

i totally agree :)

btw if i could rock those leggings (im too short and curvy too look decent in them) i totally would wear them!

OFF TOPIC....You have to have a brave, brave soul to 'rock' those leggings....
Fergie rocked spandex leggings recently...in a zebra print no less:woot:.. on the 'Fashion Rocks' show and also recently paired with a bright pink members only jacket.

That sounds all sorts of wrong :p

^^^^Thanks everyone- advice duly noted. I have seen these leggings look great with heels it's just that I didn't want to go that root. Perhaps a converse or something to tone then down a bit.

Louboulover, I am sure you would look fantastic...me on the other hand would be all a$$ with long, skinny legs:o. I would look like the letter 'P' from the side shot!! I would lose any meat I do have on my legs..not a good look for this Sicilian girl...:ninja:

Here is Fergie in her spandex leggigs paired with her MO jacket....

I know, this is a really basic fashion question right?

But I have to ask....

Is it okay to pair patent leather and patent leather, like these two pieces?

With perhaps a solid color sweater dress and tights....

TIA (and thanks for not laughing at me:flower:)

Yeah, why not? I don't see anything wrong with matching accessories [;)].
IMHO, it'd be better if they were the same colour as well though.

I don't know. I think the look would be too much with a patent boot. I think my bag would look best with a hint of a patent leather toe peeking out from long slacks or jeans.;)

i bought this coat in gray worsted wool. what kind of shoes go best with it... does it require a heel?

Any kind of shoes, but only in neutral colours, the coat is already quite "rich".;)

What kind of look would you like to pull off with these?
I always think it's better to see what we've got in our wardrobes and then buy whatever accessories we have in mind. Most of times we end up buying useless items.
