Pairing Shoes with Clothes Help Thread

i have seen girls wearing thongs ( flip flops) or ballet flats with them.. The only rule i have seen applied with those is you have to wear a fitted shirt with them.. i think we're talking about the same pants anyway

i'd say a heel would go best, but then a ballet flat. maybe even a gladiator/ballet flat. not flip flops, imo. too casual with a hard-to-pull-off pant.

i don't see many flip flop outfits, so to me, they go with shorts or beachy attire. i'm sure they're as cute with drop crotch pants too

I live in California and slouchy boots are perfect for spring. For summer you could wear them at night with some short shorts or a miniskirt/dress.

Minnetonkas are worn in spring with shorts too... just not UGGS please!

With dropcrotch pants I would definitely wear heels.. gladiator heels.. platforms.. Flipflops only look good at the beach IMO...

For red heels I would check www.shopstyle.com and they will give you tons of online sites. Try "red pump" or "red platform pump" or something like that.

Other shoe sites are www.ninewest.com, www.stevemadden.com, www.endless.com, www.piperlime.com, www.zappos.com. You can narrow things down by color, etc.

These were an impulse ebay buy and now I cant think what to team them with. I wore them out saturday with drainpipes and a painter's smock but I didnt feel 100% comfortable.

Id say my style is alexa chung-cum-sofia coppola-cum-typical student look if that helps.

any ideas would be appreciated.
