They told me the exact same thing, but its almost 3 weeks ago!!! Maybe with the launch of issue 3?
I just checked Paradis' site and they now have an order option! Now I am torn, should I get the French or English version?! My French is okay but it would be like having the original version don't you think?

There is no "original version", just French and English editions of equal standing. Close attention is paid to the translations from English to French and French to English. Each article is translated and then, effectively, rewritten to reflect the author's style. If you are more comfortable in English, buy the English edition.

Your avatar cracks me up every time I see it. In fashionspot speak, a "vintage" balaclava, part of the national costume of Ulster, which draws its influence very much so from what happens on the streets.

"...the national costume of Ulster..."

Oh...that's ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-d! I laughed so much that I don't have a hangover anymore. Thank you!

And for tourists, Silverman's and DeBora's offered the abbreviated version... Maybe we should start a balaclava and beanie thread.

:D

Thank you prosperk, I ordered the English edition.

I received the magazine yesterday, it is like a small catalogue in size! Very nice, I like the paper stock.

mmm, do you have a scanner? what's inside!?
Sorry, I do not have a scanner. jaben did a great job on the editorial scans, the thickness on the spine was probably hard to negotiate with a scanner.

OMG, I can't believe there is a thread on this magazine! I was really bored one night, actually i was very bored with all the magazines on newssands so I picked this one up at a gas station in london, i was very suprised! Very not like anything they sell there. First of all, I liked it because it reminded me of this man I like, who thinks about life, art and politics 50% of the time and 50% he thinks & talks about sex, women, p*rn etc. But it's cute and truthful. I liked the mix a lot, I thought the photos were sexy and naughty without being scary or repulsive like it often happens with me, i can't really stomach most p*rn or even erotica. Most articles were quite good, a bit pretensious maybe, I liked the article about Economist magazine and all the artists and all the little essays. It's cute, overall, im gonna buy it again if I have a chance. It also feels quite archaic but in a good way, like 70s or something. Not in the same style all other mags. adopt these days.

OK, i think it died, at least the English version. I had my favorite newsagent call all the major distributers and none of them have it. :(

It's just a bit late. The first copies of issue#3 were delivered to the office the other day and I have both the English and French language editions on my desk in front of me so you should be seeing it in kiosks and shops anytime now.
