Wha? Menswear apart of the couture show instead? It better be a very lengthy show then, if he's cutting his menswear into a short presentation along with Couture i'll be very displeased.

MANPOWER: The upcoming Paris Men’s Fashion Week lineup is steadily bulking up, with Band of Outsiders due to present for the first time during the event, which runs June 27 to July 1.

Risking the wrath of models’ rights activists, the Californian brand, which staged a show last June at Pitti Uomo, plans to present its entire spring 2013 men’s ready-to-wear collection on one lone model in a Paris gallery over a 60-hour period kicking off on June 27.

Scott Sternberg, the brand’s witty creative director, has drawn up his own set of “rules” for the event. Like a living mannequin, the model over the three days will inhabit a small compartment built from cardboard boxes and wood planks in the front window of a yet-to-be-divulged gallery in the city’s Marais district. He will allowed to leave the box every two hours during waking hours to be photographed, change into a new look from the collection “and presumably to relieve himself every so often.” The model will sleep in the compartment.

The event will be broadcast live at the-longest-show-ever.bandofoutsiders.com and nowfashion.com, with photos, music and information to be uploaded on the brand’s site over the three days. Each time the model changes out of a look it will be displayed in a separate area of the gallery, culminating with a cocktail party at the event’s completion and the model’s liberation on June 29.

That sounds...... horrible for the model, but it's very different.
I wonder what the looks will be.

I wonder if they'll need to stick some type of cord in his body that he can be fed through

^ yup, here it is according to wwd

DUAL GENDER: Jean Paul Gaultier is going co-ed again during couture — and forgoing the runway during the Paris men’s wear shows later this month. French fashion’s original enfant terrible, who paraded high fashions for men alongside his fall 2011 couture, plans to repeat the spectacle here come July 4. Gaultier had been on the provisional calendar to stage a men’s show on June 28 at 5 p.m.

Instead, the designer is plotting an all-day presentation of his spring 2013 men’s ready-to-wear at his Paris showrooms on the Rue Saint-Martin, a Gaultier spokeswoman said. The exact format has yet to be finalized. Gaultier included men’s wear on the runway when he launched his couture house in 1997.

Pierre Cardin???? Umm... how does that work? He'll show at Paris, but his clothes is sold in not high fashioned stores?

Pierre Cardin sold his license to everyone and their dog, probably this menswear collection is different from all the stuff you see in 'not high fashioned stores'

Ok, I had seen his website and saw the beautiful creations, but was dubious about the clothing under his name that seemed irrelevant to whatever he had been doing before.

Regardless of his label being completely affordable due to selling out his label. I still wear the pieces!

I am really looking forward to Pierre Cardin, crossing fingers he won't dissapoint.

I'm wondering how much that poor front window hobo model will be paid...And I'm gutted I'll have left Paris just before the fashion week starts.

They do... I promise I will post them then or you could check it on modeaparis.com
