Patou F/W 2021.22 Paris

I - didnt even know this has been happening for like 4 seasons now.

LVMH should've given Patou to Hedi if they were gonna resurrect anything. That actually makes more sense since people are still upset over the e in Celine.
Hedi would have never accepted to do Patou...
Much like he would have never accepted to do Celine if Phoebe didn’t transformed it into a strong commercial machine.

It’s well known that Hedi wanted a big Couture House with all the platforms and budgets required to fit his taste and desire.

One thing about Hedi, he knows his worth. And let’s be honest, Patou by Guillaume Henry can afford to fail, Patou by Hedi Slimane cannot afford even a lukewarm welcoming.

I didn't know that. Hedi is not a couturier so I'm glad LVMH kept him away from the couture houses, something they do right is realizing that couture drives the whole house.

Yes, Hedi is a high self esteem inspiration like Karl. Unshakable self confidence is what makes an iconic designer. I just think LVMH is really doing the whole economy of scales thing. Perhaps they had room in an atelier and decided that the cost to start up Patou was very little compared to the loss of productivity by not using the atelier space.
