Patricia van der Vliet

Ok I really hate this short black hair on her. I don't mind the color but the styling/cut just doesn't suit her. I'd like to see it long.

i love her in all these juergen teller-esque shoots. I think when her face is fresh and downplayed she is at her best

Josephine Skriver & Patricia van der Vliet by Benny Horne for Vogue Russia June 2012

Sorrow and Beauty – Benny Horne captures two rising stars of the fashion world, Patricia van der Vliet and Josephine Skriver, in this story simply titled ‘Sorrow and Beauty’. The blonde beauties look angelic yet alluring in designs from the likes of Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, Anna Sui and Agent Provocateur styled by Katie Mossman. Leonardo Manetti works his hair magic, creating the perfect ponytail to complement the pale, youthful ensembles, while makeup artist Stevie Huynh offers subtle pink lips and natural eyes. / Set Design by Anne Koch

^This is beautiful.

I don't get the Twin Magazine editorial. Patricia looks good, don't get me wrong but what is it supposed to be about? The last girl at the party? The girl who came too late and missed it? I don't get it. And I don't like the styling either.

^ they just love pairing josephine and patricia. I think they work well together too but i dont think this is patricia's best editorial work (but amazing to be in vogue!). The only shot i really enjoy of her is the 7th, aside from that she looks nice and stuff but she always seems to be looking down with the same facial expression whereas josephine seems to be more expressive. Just my opinion anyway but nonetheless still a lovely ed <3

Traveling The Blonde-Brunette Continuum With Patricia Van Der Vliet
May 21, 2012 4:55 pm
Patricia van der Vliet made headlines during the Fall shows as the first blonde model to go “severe brunette,” the season’s hair color of choice. After the Whittemore House’s Victoria Hunter gave the Dutch model a rich coffee dye job before the start of the New York shows, Guido Palau took van der Vliet even darker at Calvin Klein, morphing Eugene Souleiman’s long-in-front, choppy crop into a flapper-style bob. And that’s how we left her. When we last saw the catwalker at Alexander McQueen toward the end of Paris, she was extolling the virtues of her new, darker style while getting fitted for a platinum blonde wig. “It’s so much easier, and I so enjoy being the tough girl,” she said of the look. “I’m definitely going to keep it for now but I’ll have to see what happens when spring/summer comes around,” she declared. Well, spring is here and it looks like van der Vliet has reverted back to blonde—but only for the length of a photo shoot. The model stars in the June issue of Vogue Russia, honey-haired and gorgeous—the miracle work of on-set hairstylist Leonardo Manetti, who gave van der Vliet one hell of a blonde wig for photographer Benny Horne’s lens, thus leaving the model’s espresso hair perfectly intact. All in a day’s work. Which color do you think suits her best?
I was wondering how she got blonde hair in that vogue russia ed, hah

That's a wig? I thought it was just an older shot. Seems like stylists and photographers prefer her as a blond.

I love days like this when the thread is so alive with new work and great work at that.
