Penélope Cruz's father, Eduardo Cruz, has died at age 62.

The father of four died early Thursday morning from a suspected heart attack at his home in La Manga in Southeast Spain, where he lived with his second wife, Carmen Moreno.

Penélope, 41, was on her way back to Spain early this morning after her father's sudden death.

The Oscar winner was filming the Ben Stiller-directed comedy Zoolander 2 abroad when she received the sad news and made immediate plans to return to Spain.

Thats really sad. My heart goes out to Penélope and her family.
