I know she's not considered a great actress by american audiencies. But she really is! She's in two of the three Spanish movies that ever won an Oscar (Belle Epoque and All about my mother). She won the Spanish and the Italian academic awards (for The girl of your dreams and Don't move respectively). ANd what is more, she can speak spanish, french, italian and english. How many american actors learn to speak other languages to work in other countries than AMerica?

I don't belong to the American audience and I consider her not as great actress from her movies which I have seen being part of movies who won an Oscar, doesn't mean that you have acted fabolous, an actress, actor is only a part of the movie and not the whole movie.
Speaking 4 languages is not really something special ,well maybe for the American audiences but you have to agree that Spanish, Italian and slightly French are easier to learn if you are SPanish because these three belongs to the romanic.I know that because I have Italian friends who told me how easy the learnt French because there are so many similarities.
So after all, it's just my opinion that she's nothing special to me . If you like her that's fine ,I have nothing against that , I just stated my opinion

I think about her she's not so beautiful, just a pretty girl that knows how to look greater.
With respect to the Oscar and the prizes, it's true they don't mean, you are the better actress in the world (there are so many that have won an Oscar...), but I suppose they give you a respect in your work and if you have been awarded with some, it will be because you worth it.
I'm spanish and I'm totally unable to learn French or Italian, it's not easier to understand and speak other languages just because they all share the same background!.

I just stated the language think because I have experience with many Italians and also Spanish who learnt French/Spanish/Italian much easier than others. Just from experience I stated that
