now that you mentioned it, i can definitely see why your boyfriend would make the comparison. i wouldn't say that she's a beaten chihuahua though. i still like her. she's capable of looking impeccable.

Wow! I've just seen Penelope in Volver. She was incredible!!!!! It's shocking how she is so underused in Hollywood as just this love interest that has a sexy accent. It's lovely to see an actress flourish with a director that clearly admires her.
I've adored her since I saw her image in the Ralph Lauren pics.
