I'm so glad she's working with Woody again!
I love her look here. Not the most fashion forward - but so vibrant.
Looks like her character is going to be fun :)

I'm so excited about this movie!!
Being Italian, I just hope they won't bring in all the clichés about Italy, like most of the American movies set in Italy do.

She looks adorable onset, I do hope she dyes her hair back to dark brown though

no no no, she is working with woody again?!?
woody is so freaking overrated...
i do not understand why they even
let him make any movies anymore.
but i bet she will be the best thing
in the movie.

Likely some of the cliches will be there, as they have been in his movies in London, Spain and Paris. But i think via those cliches Woody's love for these cities comes across! :flower:

I heard that contrary to his other films abroad, parts of "Bop Decameron" will be filmed in Italian!! Cool. I  the sound of Italian. *swoons*

Jenna-Maria, I think the opposite: Woody is underrated. From his earliest comedy, through the genre busting of films like "Annie Hall", to existential crises and fantasies on film (Purple Rose, Bullets over Broadway, Sweet& Lowdown) the guy is a genius and he has never fully been appreciated as such by the public. Most Critics and Actors, who go out of their way to have a chance to work with him even though the money isn't great, do seem to get it. I mean, have you seen "Midnight in Paris"? Owen Wilson is the best I have seen him as a romantic lead. [I would agree more with your opinion on another thread that U2 are *slightly* overrated, but again, early work like Boy and Unforgettable Fire are sheer brilliance in music creation.] I think the word overrated is overrated!! :)

But we disgress...

Penelope looks like a bombshell in these shots, a little like the "Volver" character.

i just do not like his work.
not even earliest work.
(prepare yourself i am using word: overrated AGAIN!)
everybody love annie hall but i think it is overrated.
and he with soon-yi previn
is so digusting.
i do not understand how anyone
wanna work with him after knowing that!
:yuk:
anyway, about vicky christina barcelona, penelope and javier were
the best thing in the film (oh, ofcourse barcelona is gorgeus!!!)
so i am sure penelope will shine in this
new film also.
i might even see it just because of penelope.

oh, and penelope looks gorgeus at the set.
reminds little bit volver, wich was quite good film!

^I know, weird what happened with Soon Yi, BUT many artists, writers, actors, etc, have creepy personal lives. That doesn't control my opinion of their work, however. Look at Edgar Allan Poe, one of the best writers of short fiction, he married his 13 yr old cousin! I teach film & literature, so I guess I appreciate the brilliant film techniques in Annie Hall, and that Woody's dialogue writing is some of the best. No writer has been nominated for more screen writing Oscars than Woody. That says something. Especially as this guy shuns awards / award shows. Anyhow, I know we are sliding off topic a bit.

Hopefully you will see the film for Rome and Penelope's beauty. :)

as soon as i get to learn about
artists etc. creepy personal lives
i stop liking them.
all i can think about is their creepy lives,
no matter how great album they have recorded
or how great book they have written.

btw. you have cool job!!!

anyway, let´s get back to the topic of
how gorgeus penelope is looking!!!!!

^ yes cheers!

Penelope's first look in the film is very polka dotty. But wow, is she in great shape or what?! (like everyone else said, I too prefer her hair a little darker). She is Sophia Loren's heir in some ways. They have a similar beauty. Stunning. But both can act.

The film is divided in four episodes, two of which will be shot in Italian, with Italian actors.
Penelope's episode is likely to be the one with Alec Baldwin and Jesse Eisemberg, so it'll be shot in English.
